One on my mind right now: Beverly Hills Cop II. The core concept is fresher in the original, of course, but this is a little more fun to watch. They do more with the relationship between Foley, Taggart and Rosewood. The action is better. The plot is maybe a little more interesting.

I'll add a vote for:
28 Weeks Later
I had the DVD for a couple of years before I finally got around to watching it, and I was pretty pleased with it. The acting was solid, it maintained the intensity of the first film, and (most importantly) it felt like a continuation of the story and didn't shit all over the first film.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
Rocky III
both faster-paced, and therefore more entertaining (not ncessarily better) than the original

- The Godfather 2 (the easiest pick along with Empire)
- Empire Strikes Back
- Dark Knight (although i like both equally)
- Spider Man 2 (although i realize its no masterpiece)
- Austin Powers : The Spy Who Shagged Me (also no masterpiece but the only one from the series I really enjoy)
- Toy Story 2 (like TDK and Godfather is either equally or better than the first one. Depends on the mood i guess)
- X-men 2 (yeah its definitely better than part 1, but then again i barely liked the first one)
- Hellboy II (Awesome movie althouh a little underrated i think)
- Kill Bill 2 (maybe as equally good as part 1, there is just more tension because we get to the final battle)
Terminator 2 Although I used to think it was the best movie in the world nowadays its kinda cheesy. I actually prefer part 1 with its more Industrial tone better.
PS: And I think I'm the only person in the universe who has not seen an Alien or a Rambo movie yet.

I don't think anybody on this forum has seen a Tyler Perry film. But that hasn't stopped us from complaining about them non-stop!

I always loved Dream Warriors. It was like a high-energy horror-adventure-fantasy movie. The "House on Haunted Hill" remake played out similarly. The power and skills that the 'warriors' have takes the thrills down a notch. But that movie was plenty horrifying when I was 10.
And it had the FIRST SET OF BOOBIES I EVER SAW! Haha. That just brought up a childhood memory.

You lucky bastard. If you want to maintain your sanity, you'll keep it that way. (I gave up my sanity a long time ago, so I can't blame the loss of it on those films.)

I know! And it was written by Wes Craven and Frank Darabont, so how could it go wrong?
