Daniel Radcliffe once wore the same exact outfit for a year so the paparazzi couldn’t tell when the pictures were taken and were therefore worthless.

Maybe Hackman is just pulling a genius move after the last paparazzi photos were taken a few weeks ago.

or maybe he’s just a regular guy who happens to have a comfortable set of clothes he likes and wears on a regular basis…just like the rest of us do!

Not that it matters but there was a community note put up to clarify that those two pics were from the same day and that he just wore a similar outfit a few weeks ago.

Looks like he got the Bridget Fonda treatment by the paparazzi and should have just left him alone.

A lot of the older stars you never see photographed in their final years or those photos are exposed in the public or there is a unspoken respect not to capture or film then on camera as a sign of respect.

News in Santa Fe is reporting he and his wife has been found dead.

Just heard. So sad. A true legend!

He was 95 so his death doesn't come as a surprise. The death of his much younger wife and the dog, make it kind of strange. Gene Hackman has always been one of my favorite actors. He was in so many great movies and delivered some legendary performances.

Like I said in the obituary thread in Otter, I suspect carbon monoxide.

Sad to see him exit this way (assuming it's true), but it's his choice. Great actor, for me it's Hoosiers and Crimson Tide (opening night in theaters) that I'll remember him for.

Natural causes and his wife and dog passed too. By saying his choice are you implying possible suicide? I think carbon monoxide poisoning is highly likely.

Fan of a ton of his films and performances but will remember him most for The Birdcage, probably my favorite comedy ever.

Sad news. His death isn’t surprising although this situation is a little unusually.

Gene Hackman, Donald Sutherland, Maggie Smith, David Lynch, Kris Kristofferson, James Earl Jones, Quincy Jones... a fitting tribute to those people would probably me more entertaining than most of the nominated movies this year.

Gene Hackman was just one of the best and is a true movie legend. The French Connection, Mississippi Burning, Unforgiven, The Conversation...
Of his last 10 movies I watched 9 in the theater, but not his last one. Welcome to Mooseport wasn't a great farewell. Runaway Jury was solid though.

It was obviously a murder/suicide. I just wonder what the dog’s motives were for killing his two owners.

If you've never seen Night Moves, I highly recommend it, great movie but Hoosiers will always be his best.

So mostly lesser known movies from the 70s.

I just watched this when TCM was showing his 70s movies on his birthday. Hackman was great but I yhought everything else was just OK. Scarecrow aired right after and I think that is his best performance ever. That last scene where he's buying the bus ticket is gold. Next in line was The Domino Principle. I went to bed figuring I'd catch it later on demand. It didn't go to TCM on demand. Not suppose to be very good but I'd like to see it.
A lesser known movie with Ann-Margaret called Twice in A Lifetime isn't bad.
Gonna watch Prime Cut (1972) this weekend. One of my favorites. I live in KC and it was shot in and around here. For those who haven't seen it. Hackman is a mob guy in Kansas City. Runs a slaughterhouse and meat packing plant. He owes Chicago mob money and every time they send somebody to collect it Hackman kills them. He grinds one guy into hamburger and sends the hamburger back to Chicago mob. This pisses them off so they send tough guy Lee Marvin to KC to collect the money. Worth checking out.
