Favorite Raquel Welch Film

Her popularity is way up on IMDB because of her new book, Beyond the Cleavage. I fell in love with her all over again when I saw her at a book signing a couple of nights ago. She is 69 years old, and looks 30. I've recently been watching her films again and thought a poll would be cool. She stated her favorite performance was in Three Musketeers, I think she said she won the golden globe for it.. What is your favorite Raquel Welch film?

Her book isn't really about her films, but an interesting bit she did mention in the book is how she thought it was a great honor that Shawshank Redemption used the One Million B.C. poster as the pinup/passage of time 60's/70's icon.

Re: Favorite Raquel Welch Film

I choose BANDOLERO.
Mostly for Jimmy Stewart, Dean Martin, and George Kennedy.
And because this was the only movie I have seen her in.
Welch was decent and HOT looking.

Only other time I saw her was in SEINFELD. She got into a cat-fight with Elaine.

I picked Bedazzled, but it was a hard choice between that and the Musketeers movies.

i picked the only movie i've seen her in, Naked Gun 33 1/2. I saw her on Craig Ferguson a few nights ago, she looks stunning and never would of guessed she's almost 70.

Damn, thats tough. Gotta go with Hannie Caulder. But I really like Bandolero! Mother Jugs and Speed, and a few others.

Re: Favorite Raquel Welch Film

Tough call, but I went with ONE MILLION YEARS B.C., which happened to be the second Welch film I saw. FANTASTIC VOYAGE was the first--it had come out a few months earlier--and I saw both in theaters. In FV, she was all covered up in one of those white jump suits (but, fortunately, quite form-fitting), while in BC, she just had on that fur bikini, so that's the one that's most memorable. Plus, it had Harryhausen's dinosaurs, always a plus to an adolescent moviegoer.

I do recall one bit in FV where she's left the ship and gone out into the bloodstream and got attacked by antibodies. Back in the ship, Stephen Boyd is rather eagerly pulling antibodies off of her with special attention to ones placed in strategic areas. I imagine him flubbing that scene over and over and over again, just to prolong the pleasure.

I also remember liking 100 RIFLES a great deal. (I saw it on a double bill with Eastwood's first cop picture, COOGAN'S BLUFF.)

Fantastic Voyage, though I just love the movie, not necessarily for her (but she is sexy in that suit). Mother, Jugs, and Speed is good too.

No surprise nobody has picked it but for me by far its Hannie Caulder. Still waiting for a proper Region 1 release of it.

Lady in Cement, but that's mostly because of Frank.

Never been impressed with RW, except for her pulchritude. She was best in Mother, Juggs & Speed.

Gotta go with One Million BC for the wardrobe, but I also have to give credit to Myra Breckinridge for being flat out one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen.

Re: Favorite Raquel Welch Film

I've seen most of her movies and the one movie that will give any man a hard on is FATHOM. She has a few bikini scenes and the scene when she's on this yacht is something. But for movie I pick KANSAS CITY BOMBER.
