Thanks, I originally planned to wait until maybe the 9th or 10th rounds to draft him, but was concerned somebody would pick him up at any moment...glad I did at this point

Two of the previous five picks are great. Two are quite good. One is terrible. I'll reveal the terrible one when voting time comes around.

Okay. You people sit tight, hold the fort and keep the home fires burning. And if we're not back by dawn... call the president...

Damn you!! That was my next pick!
Actually, I'm surprised it took so long to get to Jack, and somebody even chose Russell's character from The Thing first.

...I've killed women and children. I've killed everything that walks or crawls at one time or another. And I'm here to kill you, Little Bill, for what you done to Ned.

My 7th selection: Clark W. Griswold (Chevy Chase, Vacation Franchise, 1983-1997)

That's Clark on the left.

just a random observation, it's interesting to note that only 10 Oscar winning characters have been selected so far.

One more thing, I apologize if I send you a PM after you've already received notice that it's your turn to pick, I just want to make sure you know so the draft continues to move along.

Also, I would have gone with: "No tears, please. It's a waste of perfectly good suffering."

It's just murder. All God's creatures do it. You look in the forests and you see species killing other species, our species killing all species including the forests, and we just call it industry, not murder

"A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."
Gandalf (Sir Ian McKellen*, The Lord of the Rings series, 2001-2003)

* 3 notes:
1) I refuse to acknowledge the existence of the Ralph Bakshi 1978 abomination. So sue me.
2) I assume that this reference will include the upcoming project for The Hobbit, given that both the character and actor will be the same.
3) I did not include a credit for John Huston, since the original animated version of The Hobbit and The Return of the King only aired on television and later on VHS/DVD, but never had a theatrical run.
