Re: The 82nd Academy Awards --> 2010 Awards Show Discussion.

I liked that they ended In Memorium with several shots of various people from the montage instead of the way they normally finished with the "biggest/most beloved" person to have died that year. Since they refuse to mute the audience applause/lack-there-of, it was a classier way to finish.

It's too bad that a couple of people got missed at the beginning. They were on the wide shot of James Taylor, so I couldn't see who was between Patrick Swayze and when they went to full screen of the names.

I was answering the biggest applause question. I know MJ has been in films.

I could not even read the third person. It was white font on a light backdrop and they had not zoomed in yet.

What's this Happy Town show? It looked similar to last year's Harper's Island.

Guess I forgot about Ron Silver. I was surprised when I saw him.

Why was MJ listed but not Farrah?

A Dance/Score montage? What are they smoking? This is embarrassing.

Interpretive Dance.

Good God, no!

If I lived in a two story house I'd be throwing myself out a window right about now.

So we get this instead of performances of original songs?

LOL, Jennifer Lopez looked surprised to find out Sam Worthington had an accent. She must've had her iPod on during rehearsal.

Original Score gets a performance, but not original Song? Tell me that isn't strange.

I don't remember the Sharks and the Jets in SHERLOCK HOLMES.

But seriously, that was my favorite nominated score. It was the one that really stuck in my head after the movie.

Oh for fuck sake. Is this "So You Think You Can Dance" all of a sudden!? Here they were doing so well. No songs this year but we get this shit so close to the finish line. FAIL!

Yeah that looked like an interesting show. Don't know about the April premiere though, especially for what looks like a made-for-TV mystery/horror series.
