Why would you watch movies like Glitter, Hottie & the Nottie, Justic to Kelly etc? I never uderstand this, & please don't say because you wanted to see how bad they were.

Damn, I love that movie. I loved that it was full of anti-Hollwyood Western motifs. And Winstone was phenomenal in the movie. I get why someone wouldn't like it, because they are so use to typical fast paced, spoon-fed stories, but to say its one of the worste films of the decade is just stupid.

Ditto. It's pretty dark compared to US westerns for sure. Very very gritty and disturbing at times.

We are free to have our opinions, you posted yours & I shared mine. Saying a well made movie is bad & "one of the worste of the decade" simply because you didn't care for it is stupid. I'm not saying you are stupid, I'm saying that comment was flat out stupid & I stand by that. Of the countless attrocious films of the past 10 years, to claim the Proposition is one of them is the definition of stupid. I hated Million Dollar Baby for example, but I'm not going to claim its one of the worste films of the decade just because I didn't like it at all. I respect its merit it just wasn't for me.

Sorry but boring = bad as far as I am concerned. If you enjoyed it, good for you. I thought it was awful.

You do realize that I haven't watched all the same movies as you, right? I'm sure there are much worse films than the Proposition, like White Chicks and those bullshit Date/Epic Movie types, but I know better than to bother watching them so I obviously can't vote for them. The Proposition was the worst movie experience I had (of films released this decade). And I think Million dollar Baby is one of the BEST of the decade FWIW.

Seriously. I could probably list 100 other films I saw that were just as awful, if not worse, but my brain is keeping me from venturing into the first half of the decade and the shit I most likely saw in theaters.

Tarantino's Death Proof half of Grindhouse is still the single worst film I have ever seen in this or any decade. I would rather sit through a Lifetime Channel or Syfy movie marathon than ever see it again.

I was the age of 14-24 for this decade. Naturally, due to my age group, I get stuck seeing a lot of shit. Let it be on DVD or theatrically by (free) advance screenings, films I actually paid for, or films that I may have snuck into.

Dating women hasn't help matters much towards the good cinema side either.

For example: Date Movie, Epic Movie, Couples Retreat, and Nacho Libre. All seen before their theatrical release, for free.

For example: Halloween. Halloween II. Superhero Movie. Transformers and it's sequel. Paid to see.

For example: Boat Trip. Snuck into after Dreamcatcher as my friend and I felt the theater owed us our time and money back. Whoops. Bad decision.

Looking back into the decade, I also remember trying to cheer my friend up by taking him to see Dumb and Dumberer. Bad fucking idea that was.

Wow, I forgot about that one. That would make a good #2 if I were making out a full list.

Worst for me would be Baby Geniuses 2 and Bruno.

When I dislike films, I usually go "oh well..." or "meh..." and move on, but on rare occasions a film manages to infuriate me so much that I want to throw my tv out the window. The "winners" for the past decade are:

3. Hostel

My problem with coming up with films for a topic like this, is that I have no desire to see the movies that most people here keep posting. Movies like Date Movie, The Hottie & The Nottie, White Chicks, etc etc, I would never see, nor do I understand why people see them & then post that they were so bad. I mean, what were you expecting? Its easy to say a movie like Corky Ramono is one fo the worste films of the decade, but I have never seen it.

Okay, this movie was both a COLOSSAL disappointment and COLOSSALLY AWFUL. It's not that Ratner completely shit on the X-Men lore. Coming off the first two, there's absolutely NO sense of management to the characters (who either get killed off out of spite or are new characters who are barely even developed), and the story structure is all over the place. Throw in the incompetent action sequences and some cringeworthy dialogue ("I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!" still haunts me, as does the audience's wild reaction at the midnight show).

I also wanted to add to the hate for Hell Ride. It should have been an enjoyable Grindhouse takeoff, but wow, it's just a contemptible, meandering shithole of a movie. I'm a complete Tarantino apologist (actor/director/producer/writer), and this was the first time I ever saw something with his name attached that I just flat out didn't like, let alone hated.
