I saw this today with the wife and one of her friends. It was alright but I found it to be a bit on the dull side. I wound up dozing off for about 10 minutes at one point.

Saw it on Sunday afternoon (mostly adult couples in the audience) after watching -- and unexpectedly enjoying considering how much hate I've heard about the movie -- Twilight on DVD on Sat.
Thought New Moon was WAY better than the first installment. Better direction, more humor (both intentional, like "Face Punch", and unintentional), better acting, better pacing, better soundtrack (LOVED the song accompanying the chase through the woods). So left theater pretty satisfied and looking forward to Eclipse next summer. (And no, I haven't read the books.)
Yes, parts of the film are head-scratchingly dumb (Bella goes to Italy! Bella rejects the funny, hot, and compassionate werewolf for the depressingly dull vampire! Bella rides a motorcycle!), but there are some truly inspired moments to off-set the silliness. Loved Michael Sheen's cameo, and the scenes of the Cullen family are campy fun. Bella's dad is believable. And the CGI is light years better than in, say, G.I. Joe. (The wolves were very well done, IMO.)

not only is Kristen Stewart a horrible actress, she's a worse public speaker:

Is she a closet lesbian? Cos she moves and carries herself like a guy (much the way butch lesbians I've met behave).

Heh heh. That was mildly amusing. Like low rent Die Hard by Guyz Nite.

I watched New Moon tonight. Boy was it a train wreck. No coherent plot. Characters acting stupid, especially Bella, and no chemistry between Bella and Edward or Jacob.
And what was with the Ben Kenobi that Edward was pulling the whole movie? Was Robert Pattison off doing another movie for most of the shoot?

Re: the Twilight Saga: New Moon. Do you care?
Thanks to the $16 coupon, my wife just bought this and we watched it. That was the longest damn movie I've ever sat through where absolutely nothing happened. Its structure just left me with no real sense that anything was really affected by anything else in the movie. I'm sure within the series, all kinds of subplots were advanced, but as a singular story? This was a complete waste of 130 minutes.

I didn't think it was that bad, to be honest. Nothing I need to watch ever again, but I've spent 2 hours watching much worse, much more vile garbage than this. 3 / 5 from me.

I voted yes, but it is NOT "its my most anticipated movie of the year".
The way the POLL was set can mess up the voting.
My "most anticipated movie of the year" is IronMan 2 and Clash of the Titans.

Re: the Twilight Saga: New Moon. Do you care?
Just got this from Netflix and watched it. I liked the first movie for what it was. I have not, nor will I read the books. I really enjoyed the 2nd movie a lot for a few reasons. I think part of it is I actually sort of felt sorry for Jacob. Seems like people I know, and myself included have went through what he was going through (no not turning into a werewolves) I thought Rob was the weak one in this movie to where in Twilight they all were. It's an improvement and I enjoyed it.
