I read somewhere over the weekend that it does. Blair Witch was over 400,000% return (I think it made $240mil total?) and PA has already exceeded that.

I don't understand how PA is more profitable:

BW: Budget $60,000 Total BO $248 million

PA: Budget $15,000 Total BO $84 million (to date)

If you go by a ratio of budgets PA is more profitable since Blair Witch cost about 4x more to make.

So glad the Saw Sequel sank. These movies suck. Lets hope this is the last one.

Since I am not bougie and have my head placed firmly up my ass, I am looking forward to both Boondock Saints III (if it becomes a possibility and we're not waiting another decade) and Saw VII based off how the sequels played out.

A recent interview I read with Eduardo Sanchez said that with post-production work and additional tweaking, the final budget of BWP was closer to $500-750k. That quite a big leap from the $60k everyone thinks it was.

PA literally cost no more than $15k, so it's definitely beater BWP in that respect.

Oh yea, and the 1000+ theater re-issue of H2 made a whopping.... $435,000!

Hahahaha. Nice move, Weinsteins!

PA's advertising budget probably dwarfed Blair Witch's. PA was being advertised on pretty much every web site I went to.

According to this link: http://www.troupcreative.com/viral/witch.htm

BWP spend around $6.5m on ads.

PA spent about $10m.

$55,000 went towards the weed needed to film.

Okay, so let's round up:

BW: $248 million BO minus $1 million budget = $247 million profit.

AP: $84 million BO minus $15,000 budget = $83.xx million profit.

Again, show me how AP has made more profit?
