The entire end sequence of Day of the Dead is Romero's finest work of gore. Some amazing AMAZING practical effects there.

I've always loved Dario Argento's Opera as far as scary death scenes go... because it's not only that the person is getting killed, but there's another victim who is forced to watch (or have her eyeballs poked out with pins).

Oh, and for the people who love camp... here's a clip from my favorite campy horror film: Sleepaway Camp 2. The Sleepaway Camp films have some of the most fun deaths combined with some of the most atrocious acting ever.

And probably the most scary film I've ever seen contains a ton of great scenes. Probably more scary because I saw it when I was like, 12.

I couldn't find a youtube video... but the peephole death in Argento's Opera is definitely one of my all time favorites.
