Megan Fox's Brachydactyly is such a small thing compared to this new chick's fugly face and way too scrawny body.

Re: Transformers 3 Announced

that girl looks like a regular model. She's still hot, but no Megan Fox.

i'd be lying if I didn't say Fox is one of the reasons I watch the Transformers films.

Re: Transformers 3 Announced

I'm not a Fox fan, just cuz she's not a good actress. Physically speaking..yeah she's attractive. Not my type of gal but I'd do her. This new girl. Has less meat on her bones than Fox. I'd still do her. But seriously....wtf is wrong w/ some of you people giving a shit about the female lead in this film? She's just there to move around and have Bay twirl his camera around her. I'm more worried about the script.

Re: Transformers 3 Announced

Given you're a film student, Solid Snake PAC, let there's no need to remind you that movies are a visual medium. The hot chick in an action flick is part of the visuals. As long as the plot isn't borderline retarded like it was in the sequel, no one really cares about the plot in these movies. Sure, we don't want something that'll insult our intelligence but we're also not looking for something like Inception out of these movies.

So bitching about the lack of hotness of the new girl as compared to Megan Fox is as valid a complaint as if the GI suddenly took a nose-dive into DTV territory.

Film student or not, I mean...I want to know wtf the plot is. All I have is what it kind of pertains to and that's it. I just want Transformers to be something I can like in a film. So far TF1 w/ it's faults..was ok and entertaining. TF2 had a great 10 or so minutes of the intro and then the plot kicks in and it all goes to hell.

I know how you feel but I believe the bits we've gotten are essentially the plot. Sure, we don't know what the actual McGuffin is this time around (perhaps the Heart of Cybertron, or the Ark, or some key to Vectore Sigma, etc.) but as long as the third movie is as good or (preferably) better than the first, I'll be happy.

And, yes, the first 10 minutes of the second movie were fantastic. Had they stuck with Nest, we may have had an awesome sequel. Instead, we just got a lot of half-baked ideas and barely strung together sequences.

So is that new girl the new Makayla (or whatever)? Or is it Shia's new girlfriend or something?

Re: Transformers 3 Announced

I'm guessing she's his new gf and Mikaela will be written off in a passing comment at some point during the movie. If she was to be Mikaela, they not only cast a totally different looking woman, they did nothing to make the difference less jarring.

Cool video, Solid Snake PAC.

Just call Paramount. I'm sure they'll gladly give the shooting schedule to someone who has nothing to do with the production.

Re: Transformers 3 Announced

Does MB have a fascination with dark haired women that looks almost similar in most of his movies?
(Tea Leoni, Megan Fox, Odette Yustman)

Now Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has blonde hair. I would of thought MB would make her darken her hair. Strange.

What's even more amusing is that both Megan Fox and Odette Yustman were both in the first Transformers movie.

Re: Transformers 3 Announced

Ehren Kruger looks to be the sole writer on this without the help of Orci and Kurtzman which doesn't give me much hope. Those to are excellent writers and I believe Kruger is the reason the sequel wasn't as good.

I'm holding out hope but I don't believe it's going to be as good without the pair adding their influence to the script.

What would be cool is if somehow they worked in a throwback to the tv series by having Bumblebee change to a bug, Optimus going back to the old style Rig, Megatron turning into a gun, etc.

Re: Transformers 3 Announced

If you listen to the audio commentary of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, it seems like Ehren Kruger had little to no input on the the script beyond telling them who the Fallen was in the comics. Orci and Kurtzman take credit for practically everything in the movie except for Jetfire. Apparently that was adlibbed by the guy who did his voice (Mark Ryan, I believe).

Originally he was supposed to be super wise and regal with a pompous air to him. Michael Bay didn't like any of the auditions (including John Turturro) and then Mark Ryan made him all old, bitchy, and senile. Michael Bay loved it and there we had Jetfire.

I like the cranky old man aspect but I didn't care for the spitting or the parachute fart. They were amusing on their own (not so much the fart) but it felt like way too many old geezer gags when it was all put together.

That woman has nothing I find attractive. I need curves damn it. If you aren't going to focus on the Transformers, at least get us some eye candy as good as Fox.

A lot of the things that suck about these movies seem to come back to improv work by Bay himself, be it humor or the shitty character designs.

Hopefully they don't misname a character this time (TF1 Brawl/Devastator) or kill transformers off and then mysteriously show them again at the end of the movie! (TF2)

I'm still waiting to find out what the hell happened to Barricade. Sure the comic adaptation showed Optimus Prime smashing his head into a pillar after he killed Bonecrusher. But if it's not in the movie itself, it doesn't count.
