That irked me as well.
I was trying to talk to my friends about it but they weren't listening
Saw this film again last night. Unfortunately, my friends and I were in a theater where we had a guy who thought everything was hilarious. Guy was seriously laughing loud at everything maybe every minute, even if it wasn't a joke.

Spoiler:
not sure why we're spoiler tagging this - it's about the amusement park ride in the movie
Oh and I just noticed it's a reviews thread.
Loved it! Great chemistry between Talahassee and Columbus. I couldn't place Emma Stone and had to look her up and saw she was in Superbad. She should be in more movies. I missed a detail amidst the hilarity - were the two girls sisters?

I saw this Saturday night and fucking loved it.
It took me a minute too - then I'm like oh that's Jonah Hill's love interest in Superbad.
"I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine."
"Well Jules, the funny thing about my back is that it's located on my cock."

Yeah, they were.
The whole cast was awesome. That cameo was seriously one of the greatest cameos in the history of cameos. I of course loved the Ghostbusters references, and almost died when one of Murray's greatest regrets was "Maybe Garfield."
Can't wait for the Blu-ray.

Anybody have a feeling there were a good chunk of deleted scenes for this one lying around?
I saw a quote from Harrelson where he doesn't like going back to the same character twice, but in this case he'd be happy too.

I kept seeing Michael Cera the whole time, too, even though the wife and I both knew it wasn't him. She got pissed about the Garfield comment since she's a big fan
Great movie, though. Day one Blu-Ray purchase.

I finally saw this and I liked it a lot. I find the "Cameo" annoying in most of their roles but the way they handled that whole part of the film was funny.
I know one thing, Emma Stone's eyes had me under a spell while watching this flick. Woody was insane and Abigail Breslin was cute as usual. I was kinda hoping for more gore and it seems like it started off with gore o plenty then toned down a bit. I found that interesting.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned in the thread (too lazy to check), but I enjoyed

Saw this over the weekend and I liked it. This year, Inglourious Basterds was a more fun (and smarter) ride, but this has a shot as one of the most "fun" horror films of the decade. I only wish I could've gone to a different showing, as I did not have a large audience and this seemed like a total audience-feedback type of film.

I saw this opening weekend and I really liked it. It was little too short though. I hope the DVD has a lot of deleted and uncut scenes.

I saw this last night -- and I know I seem to be square in the minority -- but I left the theater very underwhelmed. I suppose I had high expectations because everyone was saying how funny this was -- but apart from a few moments here and there, I really didn't laugh that much. And the rest of the theater seemed to be in my corner.
The film came off like a classic case of trying too hard, like a hipster version of a zombie comedy. Eisenberg's character was likable enough, but they didn't play up his neurosis enough to make him particularly memorable. Harrelson was the stand-out for me...whenever he was on-screen I couldn't take my eyes off him. He was the most entertaining part IMO. I wish the entire film was about him.
Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin just...existed. I picked up only the faintest whiff of characterization from them and no sisterly bond at all between the two.
The big cameo had its moments but the entire scene felt forced to me, like "We've got this guy, so let's shove this into the movie." The picture essentially stops while he does his thing, and then it resumes where it left off.
It's all well and good and it apparently has its rah-rah supporters, but color me "eh."

This is one of those films that could of/should of been great, but it just barely misses in several areas.

Fun movie. Woody was superb. Glad he's doing movies again. And the cameo was brilliant. With only the initials, I thought it might be the home of Bob Mackie. Nothing else came to my mind until the Andy Warhol-like painting. I never finished Shaun of the Dead a few years ago because I thought it was too gory. The gore in Zombieland was on the level of Evil Dead 2.
Einsenberg and the other actors were just there. I knew I recognized Emma but I couldn't place her until this thread.
My questions:
What's up with the 3 painted on the cars "Tal" drove?
Why did the girls leave the Escalade they stole on the dirt road? Did it give out? Did they know the guys would come along so they abandonned the car and waited for the guys to drive by?
Why did the zombies have to be double tagged but when they fell from the ride, they died instantly?
There was no reason for the shooting at the mansion. Someone in this thread who mentioned it is correct. 'He' should have known better.

I could swear you were talking about my friend. He laughed loudly at everything even in parts where everyone in the audience was quiet. I was a little embarassed.

I think the escalade conked out but the guys were able to fix it.
If you got 1 good shot to the head double tapping wasn't needed. So falling from that height crushed their craniums.
I thought this movie was the funniest I saw all year.

Decent movie. A little disappointed considering all the high ratings it got here, but pretty much what I expected before the hype. Great opening credit sequence and good "cameo" (are we talking about that yet?), but everything else in between (and after) was mediocre.

I was actually pleasently surprised with this movie. I thought it would be shit, but it was actually quite enjoyable. I'll have to see it again sometime thats for sure.
