Not a movie but actually a live trailer for upcoming video game Sleeping Dogs. Kind of like to know who the bad-ass actor in this one.

Jesus titty fucking christ that was awesome.
I still would love to see a remake of Eastern Condors w/ what we can get left of HK.

Re: Your Favorite Hong Kong fight scene?
(Of course they couldn't remake it in HK--the badass actors from EASTERN CONDORS are all old now and there are no young guys today of remotely comparable badassdom. I mean, look at the cast of that film--you had great action directors like Corey Yuen and Yuen Wo Ping, in addition to Sammo, actually in the film taking major roles, plus guys like Yuen Biao, Lam Ching Ying, and a bunch of great heavies like Yasuaki Kurata, Dick Wei and Yuen Wah playing the enemy. I suppose Sammo could do a Stallone-type revival and play the part again just like Stallone did with Rambo, but who's he gonna surround himself with? Jet Li? Jackie Chan? Doubtful he could get them at this point.)

I've always been meaning to watch Dragon Tiger Gate. It looks so batshit over-the-top crazy.

man, I love HK action camerawork and editing. It's a fucking art over there, man. And it's....easy to them somehow.

Tsui Hark chooses some outrageous shots and angles. I always remember the first time seeing Time & Tide and was like.. "wtf? Did he just throw the camera man out the window to follow the falling stunt guy? Forget using decenders, just tie a rope to that motherfucker and push him out."
