My earliest memory, and mind you I didn't watch the entire thing, was seeing a VHS of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom at a friend's house when I was very young, maybe 5 or 6. All I remember seeing was the heart-ripping scene and it has been forever etched into my memory.

yeah im a lot younger then most of you guys, but this is the first movie I remember, and a favorite as a child.

First movie theater experience I vaguely remember is Disney's Oliver and Comany.
Best memory though is staying at my aunt's house and waking up before anyone else in the house did. My aunt and uncle had rented Star Wars (on VHS) the night before and since nobody else in the house was up, I watched it. I have been a star wars junkie ever since....immediately went home that day and had my mom rent Empire and Jedi. I remember being on the edge of my seat during the Luke/Vader fight at the end of Empire.

Don't remember which ones were first but I remember seeing Mary Poppins and Sound of Music in the theater. There were probably some before that but I don't remember them. At home would have been Wizard of Oz. On every year on a Sunday night. A really big deal.

On home video it might have been Robocop.
At the cinema I think it might have been either Starchaser or Krull (something along those lines). Without my mum (but with a friend) Jewel of the Nile. Totally on my own, Batman in 89. Even remember queing around the block.

The first movie that I can recall was Fox & the Hound. From what I remember it was a sad movie.
