In 2004 my girlfriend and I went to see Willard with Crispin Glover, and there was only one other couple there. That's the closest I've been to being alone in the theater.

which in turns creates another question: have you been in a theatre with only your significant other/date and done the nasty?

I can answer yes to 'doing it' but I can't recall the movie...

I can't answer that question for fear of losing my job and my marriage

I don't remember the movie, but an old girlfriend was an assistant manager at a multiplex and after closing the theater one night we had a private screening.

I worked in theatres for many years, at a few different locations, and definitely took advantage of private screenings with the company of a female.

To this day, when I go to the theatre, I often worry what the staff may have been up to the night before.

A friend of mine and I went to see The Evil Dead and were the only ones in the theater. It was one of those old (non-mall) theaters on the wrong side of the tracks in my home town. It was creepy as hell.

About halfway through the film, I noticed that a bum had come in and was sitting almost directly behind us and seemed to be staring at me. Ten minutes later, I looked back, and he was gone.

Nice work. My ex-girlfriend insisted on going to see "Delta Farce," the Larry the Cable Guy flick. We were the only people in the theater for that screening. Halfway through, I told her how pissed I was at her for making me waste the $15 for our tickets and that I wanted to leave, so as an apology she jerked me off. Not quite as glorious as a BJ on the stairs (my new life goal), but still fun.

I remember in 1980 seeing Jamie Lee Curtin on a talk show talking about the movie The Fog. I was too young to drive so I took the bus to the theater after school. I was the only one in the theater which made it even creepier.

Once, at a 10:00 a.m. showing of that classic movie, Fantastic Four Silver Surfer.

I told my son (who was about 10 at the time) that he could do all the things he was usually never allowed to do in a theater. He talked, walked around, and eventually stood up on a chair and made shadow puppets on the screen, including several that were picking characters' noses. The movie sucked beyond all reason, but he still talks about that day and how fun it was to behave so badly.

Oh, yeah. I remember you two. That was quite a show you put on.

That's Jane Curtin's sister, right?
