LOTR:ROTK

The beacons lighting from Gondor to Rohan. Scenes like that remind me of why I like movies.

Re: Movie moments that give you absolute goosebumps

Wow I left out one that should be in my tops. This scene moves me every freakin time. Well I love the moon and the first time I saw this scene I was moved!

It's the scene in The Man In The Iron Mask when Leonardo opens the window shutters and the moon is very close and he looks at it and wants to cry. I couldn't find this scene on youtube but the soundtrack to that scene is absolutely beautiful!

Re: Movie moments that give you absolute goosebumps

I get huge goosebumps and sometimes even cry at the end of Rocky & Rocky II every time. Especially at the end of II when Rocky tells Adrian that he "did it"

Also, 2 scenes from one of my favorite movies, 25th Hour.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ponWum-8JRc&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ponWum-8JRc&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Warning: Spoiler!!! (Last scene of movie)

Spoiler:

I forgot about that scene. One of my "goosebumps" scenes too.

For me, it's the end of the fight through the end credits. It was a great ending to the series.

The opening credits of Superman. Also, a handful of times during Field of Dreams (watched it again recently and was surprised at how effective of a movie it is).

I know some people hate it, but the "Wise Up" scene and the long speech by Earl towards the end give me the chills

Armageddon
When the boy is watching on TV and says "mommy that salesperson is on tv" and she says "that's not a salesperson, that's your daddy."

Another scene that gets me choked up.

Some great ones so far. This one gets me every time as well.

Re: Movie moments that give you absolute goosebumps

During the end of Air Force One when the pilot announces that the planes call sign has changed to Air Force One gives me a little jolt every time i see it. I know it is going to happen, but it still pumps me up a bit.

Re: Movie moments that give you absolute goosebumps

I'm paraphrasing these but they still give me the goosebumpies...

Ghost:

"Ode Mae give me a penny."

A special effect done without CGI that still stands up today and is one of the most emotional moments of "the other side reaching out" in modern cinema.

Lilo and Stitch:

"Talk. Talk. I know you can."

That opens one of the saddest conversations ever. A broken family that may never have the chance to be repaired.

Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind:

"Please let me keep this memory."

Proving that among the bad memories in life we would love to forget are the good ones we never want to.

Re: Movie moments that give you absolute goosebumps

I could go on forever with movies like Forrest Gump, Field of Dreams, and E.T. The Extraterrestrial. Here are some more unique ones:

Legends of the Fall -
Spoiler:
When Alfred comes out of nowhere and shoots the mobster before his father is shot

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Spoiler:
Indy pours the grail water over his father's bullet wound.

Rio Bravo - "My rifle, pony, and me"

The Majestic
Spoiler:
When Peter holds up Luke's medal in front of the HUAC committee

The Matrix Reloaded
Spoiler:
Neo restarts Trinity's heart
