Fassbender would make a kickass Ramirez. And that's no more a miscast than a Scot playing an Egyptian posing as a Spaniard.

If he plays Julian (a character from the remake script), I can picture Reynolds. But not as Connor, Ramirez, or the re-imagined Kurgan.

Heh, my friend's first suggestion was to get Fassbender in this. I think you can pretty much suggest him to be in every movie to make it better.

Hmm. Michael Fassbender in Tim Burton's Charlie Chan and The House Without a Key does have a certain ring to it.

Yeah. I heard he did good w/ his role though. And I loved Centurion.

It's in my Netflix instant queue. I didn't think it looked great, but I'm mostly a fan of Marshall's work, so I figured on giving it a shot.

aaaaaaaaand it's Ryan Reynolds. "There can be only one.... guy and a girl and a pizza place!"

I like Ryan Reynolds and he was badass as Deadpool (in the early scenes, before he was replaced by Scott Adkins) but I just don't picture him as Connor MacLeod. I hope he surprises me but I just don't believe he can portray a tortured centuries old man trying to blend into the mortal world while at the same time being forced into participating in an age old battle for supremacy. He doesn't have the gravitas for that.

They should have gone with Gerard Butler for the remake. Hey, maybe they can get Butler for the Kurgan?

Not a fan of the casting, but AM a fan of Juan Carlos Fresnadillo as director.

I would have prefered Kevin McKidd as Connor. Mads Mikkelsen would be a badass Kurgan.

Ray Stevenson would be badass as the Kurgan. You need a big bastard height-wise for the Kurgan.

Fassbender as Connor. Mads as Kurgan would have been awesome. Probably add some credibility to that role.

Oh and Viggo Mortensen must be Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez.

So now..the dream scenario would be:

Fassbender as Connor
Mads as Kurgan
Viggo as Ramirez

that'd be great.

And considering that Fresnadillio is a Spaniard, I believe he will cast a Spaniard or someone that can pull off an actual Spanish accent, with lisp and everything.
