Also, while I enjoyed The Hangover, I don't foresee it being a classic in 20 years.

Alan: Hey look is that Star Trek over there.
Phil: Yeah what about it?
Alan: They look like there mad at us.
Phil: Why!
Alan: Cause were doing better at boxoffice then them!
Stu: What about them fuck'em!
Alan: That classic.
Phil: Stu never bend classic.
Stu: What.
Yeah suck on that Star Trek! Trekkies never win in Vegas!

Quick notes based off the estimates:
- HP6 was $40 million shy of studio hopes the film would be able to gross $200 million in five days. However, despite that, the film is $20 million ahead in it's current five day total from HP5 (which also opened on a Wednesday).
- Bruno is one of the biggest drops we've seen from what was a number one film since February's Friday the 13th.
- The Hangover, at the rate it's going, will most likely sick around the top ten until near the end of the summer.
- I'm surprised that I Love You Beth Cooper only had a -45.8% drop. I thought it would be the one with the -72.7% drop, not Bruno.

Guess mainstream America wasn't quite ready for the Bruno Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt.

Does English happen to be your first language? If not, and you paid for your course, well... I'd ask for my money back.

Why? Because ever since The Hangover came out you've littered threads with massively oversized promo pics from the movie and progressively less interesting comments. I'd expect that sort of behavior from a studio shill.

It's all subjective. But word of mouth also carried "Star Trek" to 250M and counting. No one expected it to earn that much. And the only reason it too won't be considered a classic in 20 years is because it's a franchise and will get lost amongst it's predecessors and sequels. "Star Trek" also has a higher user rating on IMDB. It's at #100, "The Hangover" is at #154. And "Trek" as a 95% RT rating and "Hangover" is at 79%.

I'm hoping word gets out on (500) DAYS OF SUMMER - from those per screen averages it seems to be... I saw a packed matinee this afternoon and after a second viewing it's still one of my favourite movies of 2009 - I also saw THE HURT LOCKER this afternoon and I'd rank it as my favourite of the year so far - they need to expand that shit now.

According to an article on the front page of comcast.net Half Blood Prince set the all time record by $15 Million (passing Spider-Man 3) for worldwide box office taking in $237 Million outside of the US & Canada for a total of $396.7. This could be the first Potter movie to take in a $Billion (Sorcerer's Stone did $975 Million worldwide).

The Proposal officially outgrossed Terminator Salvation (domestic) this weekend.
Wonder how many people had that one down in their Summer BO Predictions
