Has Transformers 2 been released? That answer counted for the biggest movie of the year question. The Lovely Bones is a theatrical release, it just hasn't been put out yet.

Transformers 2 was released in the UK this past Friday. But it had not yet been released when the questions were posted, or when most people answered. Anyway, it's a cheap shot. The Lovely Bones is clearly an upcoming theatrical release, directed by Peter Jackson. I say it should count.

I wish I had gotten to this before the deadline! It looks like fun-- and I'd be doing well.

Massimo is back on the field! There is a late game ruling. While the ruling on The Terminal and Big stand, neither IMDB or AMG support RoboDad's answer of The Money Pit.
Sharp eye there, orangecrush18.
We have re-opened the case on the last question specifically dealing with The Money Pit.
I, for one, believe that RoboDad will find few defenders as he is currently the points leader.

S: Name what will end up being 2009's top-grossing movie.
this doesn't specifly say that all movie released this year count, it just says at year end what movie will be the top grossing of the year. Star Trek is #1 right now, but Up will over take it. Both movies were already out. I understand the point of the question and how you worded it but if The Lovely Bones doesn't count than Transformers and HP6 shoudn't count (and I answered Transformers).
The Peter Jackson movie asks you to name a movie he directed, The Lovely Bones has been shot and edited together, it's not like its still in pre-production.

I say THE MONEY PIT qualifies as a romantic comedy, given that the focus of the film is squarely on the relationship between Shelley Long and Tom Hanks, and that the house itself is simply a metaphor of said relationship.

Note: Unless specifically mentioned in the question, all "film" answers have to be theatrically released films, not straight-to-DVD releases, TV films, promotional films, TV episodes, etc. Foreign films are always OK as long as they fit the question.
