Animated series was the first thing that came to mind, Batman the Animated series, one person was more aware of "The Batman" then Batman The Animated Series as they were a year old when it was released and they are eighteen now.

I know it's acting and all and at the end of the day you gotta do what you gotta do to get paid, but I know if I was him I would be weirded out. He played her FATHER for crying out loud.
She was 15 or 16 when she made Fly Away Home. He was already an old ass man.

It really is hard to believe it's been 27 years since Dr. McCoy said that of James T. Kirk. I went to see that movie on the 2nd day of release (Saturday), and I remember waiting in line outside the Mann theater in Oceanside, CA, with reading materials to pass the time. I can remember that like it was only 10 or 12 years ago.
(And I just showed that movie to my 9 year old daughter for the first time this week - when I first saw the movie it was 18 years before she was born!)
The James Bond movies kind of freak me out with the passing of time. My favorite Bond movie will be 20 years old in July. That's another one that seems WAY more recent than that.
I just don't feel old enough for it to have been that long.

Nice to see another LICENCE TO KILL fan around here. It's my favorite non-Connery Bond movie. (DR. NO, FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, THUNDERBALL, and YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE are my favorite Bonds--and I saw them all in theaters.)

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull didn't help at all. My memories of seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark in the movie theater are still very fresh to me, much more than a lot of movies I've seen in the last 10 years. It had a huge impact on me. But when the new movie came out and I thought about how old I was when Raiders came out it was something else. My memories of that first movie aren't fuzzy at all.
Another movie that made me feel old was The Day Regan Was Shot. They couldn't possibly make a historical movie about that because I was alive when that happened, and it didn't happen that long ago, did it?

Wow, Dumb and Dumber is pushing 15 years? I remeber seeing that in theaters when i was 9 years old (and unlike many movies from that era, Dumb and Dumber is still funny as hell in most parts) i also remeber seeing Jurassic Park in theaters, my brother ended up getting scared by the T Rex scene (he's 22 now)
whats scary is that the first R rated movie i got to see in theaters without a parent was Freddy Vs. Jason.
(i had to show my birth certificate since i wasn't driving)

Due to David Carridine's death, i've been watching Kung Fu the past few nights which takes me back to the 70's. I remember a few years in the 70's when it was on ABC at 8pm right before Mondy Night Football. We used to watch Kung Fu and then get ready for the game. All in the Family and watching reruns of M*A*S*H makes me feel old too, as I remember watching them when they were new on CBS.

As for the Connery-era, I love From Russia with Love and Goldfinger; one being the pinnacle of cold war era, spy vs. spy storytelling and the other for being the greatest comic book movie of the period. I enjoy the rest of the Connery Bonds, but the absurd scale of You Only Live Twice has never set right with me.

For me, it's the 1989 Batman film. It was my first truly amazing movie theatre going experience. Absolutely loved that movie. Still love it. We're coming up on the 20th anniversary in a couple weeks. That makes me feel old.

Everyone make a note to bump this thread in 2015 so we can discuss how the "future" scenes in Back to the Future are now the present.

Only six years to get those hoverboards out in the mainstream. Although, a hyper-interactive 3-D Jaws release seems pretty plausible right now. They should either run twenty of them out in the next few years, or just skip straight to calling it Jaws 25 in 2015.
