BBC news had reported they found a cord on his neck and genitals.
Maybe this was one of those auto-erotic asphyxiation kinda scenarios.

Me thinks if he did do himself in he would be one to at least leave a farewell note.
Still he left us with a lot of entertainment and certainly stayed busy right up until the end.

Personally, I think the possibility of autoerotic asphyxiation makes this an even better story. I mean, really, the dude was 72 and died in a hotel in Bangkok. Maybe I'm just a romantic, but I'd like to believe it was nookie gone wrong.

(Of course, it also smacks of organized crime shaking down a production studio, but that might just be the conspiracy theorist in me that was recently nudged back into consciousness by reading a book by Richard Belzer the night before last.)
