I like the guy, but admit his rom-coms are as predictable as Elvis movies. I liked Sahara, Contact and Amistad. After Fool's Gold what would make this guy do a picture like this?

I have to say, I went with my wife and cousin to see Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and while it was very predictable, I think it's unique. Because it's a reinterpretation of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, the rules are a bit different. I knew what was coming, but was still largely entertained by how they adapted the original story for this incarnation. Kudos also to whomever named a store in the background, "Fezziwig Books."

Ghosts was cute to a point, but with all the star power cast, it largely felt like a tv movie - every thing was so cut and paste and cheesy. As for McConaughey, he wears his heterosexuality like a badge of honor his rom-coms are stale, jeesh Matt, try something completely different, it aint gonna kill you.

I'm guessing he does them because they are easy to do and are pretty much guaranteed to make money.

Didn't like this one - for a rom-com it was unusually light on romance and comedy... stale characters, stale storyline and really hamfisted attempts at comedy. I love Garner and the cast is pretty damn good, but the movie was just so fucking boring I couldn't believe it...
