Leonardo DiCaprio will star in "Inception," the science-fiction film that Christopher Nolan ("The Dark Knight") wrote and will direct as his next pic at Warner Bros.

Good news, DiCaprio's really turning into one of my favs, seems like he brings it with each role. Plus he's choosing good movies and talent to work with. (I guess when half his movies are with Scorsese lol...)

From Variety:

Warner Bros. is in talks with Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page to join the cast of "Inception"....

Nice to see Cillian Murphy team up with Nolan again.

Nice cast being lined up.

I've said this since I saw Memento the first time: I will watch anything Nolan makes at least once.

Well, the Ellen Page news is highly disappointing...

Beyond that, however, this sounds like it is becoming quite the line-up.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in, James Franco is out.

Michael Caine will have a small role.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt for Joker sounds a little more plausible now. I'd like to see that happen.

 if true.

I'd love to see JGL as Joker. But the way this cast is coming along I'm almost more excited for this film than a 3rd Nolan BAtman film to be honest.

I wonder if Inception is just another Blue Harvest.

Huh? The only Blue Harvest I know of is the Family Guy episode of the same name. Is that what you're referencing? If so, I don't follow you.

Blue Harvest was the fake title used during the production of Return of the Jedi. I think they were suggesting that perhaps Inception was being used as a fake title while Nolan is actually doing the next Batman movie.

I understand working on the next Batman flick under a different title but would they go through the trouble to make up a whole story behind the fake movie?

Was there a plot for Blue Harvest or was it just the title?

Now when I see that Christian Bale and Gary Oldman are cast then I will get a bit suspicious.

Ah, okay. I know where the Family Guy ep got it's title but I totally misunderstood Zen Peckinpah and thought he was suggesting it was a spoof movie or something (which seems like the anti-Nolan thing to do).

I can get people wondering if the title is fake to throw people off the scent of a third Batman flick but the idea of them coming up with a fake plot for a nonexistant movie seems like a bit much.

it's not it's a heavily detailed script they threw us. It's just a plot we know...maybe it's the 3rd Batman...maybe it's not. I'd still like to see a Nolan film that isn't Batman..cuz The Prestige was badass.

lol I don't think this is a "Blue Harvest" situation. I think this is actually a movie that will be made. I was just explaining the reference to someone who thought it was only a Family Guy episode.

That being said, Blue Harvest did have a logo, production details, etc. It was said to be a horror movie, but I don't think there was much more information aside from that.

Again, I doubt that is what is going on here. I think Nolan just wants to do something else right now, and frankly, I'm glad he is going to. I've enjoyed all his other movies and think we all need a break from Batman for a few years.

Why the hell would anyone think that this is a secret name for the next Batman movie?

I'm not quite understanding that myself.

I hope he pulls in Guy Pearce for this one. I'd love to see them team up again, potentially setting him up with a role in the next Batman flick.
