This was posted earlier here on the thread (again these are fan made) but...if they do bring female Predators, which I assume might be more badass Predators should any prey or creature get near it's spawn or near her in general I dunno..it'd be badass to find out that they were the tougher ones, I hope it's more along the lines of the male Predators from P1 and P2.

Given the males are the hunters, I view them as being the sleeker ones (for stalking and whatnot). I think the females should be bigger and more feral since they "guard the nest" as it were. Basically make them the last and best line of defense of their homeworld. Not the bizarre pinups I see in those fan pics.

exactly...I'm not saying they should be the leaders of the Predators but that are possibly the most feral. Aliens has that leader already aka The Queen, I think the Predators should be led by the males.

And those are pinup Preds. Although the hunter from the first movie only wore very light armour (necessary to permit him to be as agile as he was), the design of the armour those female Predators are wearing look more like bikinis. There's nothing practical about their armour whatsoever.

They're a humanoid species, most likely mammalian. Why wouldn't they be similar to human females as the male preds are similar to human males? I see about the same amount of armor on the "pin ups" as on the film Preds.

The Preds have always been described as being a species that thrives in warm climates. Chances are their home planet is also warm. The armor on both sexes make sense as presented.

An mind you, I get the general idea of your beef because I generally feel the same way about how female comic book characters are portrayed. But I think in this case there's room for variety. Not all Preds even look the same or have the same hunting equipment, so who's to say they can't have varied armor too?

I don't mind variances in armour. My favorite scene in the whole franchise was the end of Predator 2 when Danny Glover sees all the different Predators. And I agree about the warm climates and I acknowledged that the male Predators barely have any armour in the first two flicks. However, as you mentioned, those fan pics are similar to "how female comic book characters are portrayed". It was designed to titilate rather than be practical. I don't mind them "showing some skin" as it were. I just don't like that they basically look like they're competing for the Miss Predator Pageant rather than out for a hunt.

And, once again, what are those you mentioned? You brought them up once before and I thought you were joking. Now that I know you were being serious, I'd like to know what the hell they are. Are they just Predators with darker pigmentation or are they meant to represent a higher caste of hunter?

Fine. We kinda see eye to eye on this but I still don't see the big deal with the Female Preds as seen in the fan pics. It's just not a big deal to me if they're presented that way.

I think they already sorta fucked up with the plot. A lone Predator wiped out two spec ops teams (the skinned team and Dutch's team) in the first movie. A lone Predator then wiped out a militarized drug cartel, an elite police task force, and a black ops military unit in the second movie. And the latter Predator was meant to be a junior Predator.

How the fuck will this new group of guys last more than five minutes on the Predator homeworld? Hell, the only way this movie could make it to at least 70 minutes is if you recast all the characters with Danny Trejo and make him portray every character he's portrayed before.

Interesting cast, to say the least. Not sold on Brody running the ship, especially since he mostly failed to do so in King Kong. If they didn't have Trejo, this film would be full of pansies.

Like RocShemp said, a single Predator took out Apollo Creed, Jesse Ventura, dozens of spec-ops soldiers and had a helluva fight with the Terminator. Trejo aside, not one of these guys would pose much of a threat to a Predator. But I'll wait until we see a trailer before I fully judge the film.

Yeah but don't forget...in P1 and P2...-1 man- eventually took those same Preds out in the end. Preds aren't perfect, and it would seem they have their "good hunts" and "bad hunts" just like any other hunter.

And in those men that did defeat a Predator by way of very different method in how they would normally try to take out a foe. Dutch went all stealth and traps, I can't remember how Glover did it..maybe I'm wrong with my method theory if he just gunned the Predator at the end..I don't remember that one too much.
