Is the movie updated to present day, since the original A-team were Vietnam vets, I assume they will now be vets of one of the Iraq wars or Afganistan?

The mohawk was unique to Mr. T and could only be pulled off by him. They need to give B.A. something else suitable to the actor/athlete playing him.

I was curious about this as well... and with Carnahan at the helm I'd expect a more serious tone... it's gonna be interesting. Hopefully better than most TV to movie updates. Given the talent involved my hopes are raised...

I assume you didn't read the FIRST POST of the thread...

The Middle East will replace Vietnam as the place the four did their tour of duty, but Carnahan said the origin story is the jumping-off point.

I agree with another website that they look like they're wearing A-Team Halloween costumes. I dunno, just looks weird to me. As a kid who grew up on A-Team, I do not have high expectations for this film.

News about a cameo from IGN

UK, November 12, 2009 - Dwight Schultz - aka the original 'Howling Mad' Murdock - has apparently shot a cameo in the forthcoming A-Team movie.

According to The Official Dwight Schultz Fansite, the TV star recently filmed his scene on location in Vancouver alognside the new team.

Schultz also spoke about District 9 star Sharlto Copley playing the iconic role on the big-screen, saying that the South African actor is "brilliant beyond words." Referring to Copley's screen test, Schultz said "Honestly, if Sharlto is given an opportunity to do what I saw in that test, Murdock will be better than ever!"

I know that the guy who was the original Hannibal Smith has been dead for years, and there is no way they could pull off a MR. T Cameo, they should get the original Faceman to make a cameo as well.

The trailer was pretty awesome. I'm a little concerned that B.A. may be too likable. I wish they would have cast Kimbo Slice:



But I guess having just one sex-appealing actor (Bradley Cooper) isn't enough for the masses. That's why they have to have a young hot B.A.

Agree, the tank is kinda silly, but it does have a similar feel to the series. I'll be seeing it.
