Yes, obviously.

Also, I think Clint Eastwood is immortal. He cannot die. Ever.

In an alternate world, Clancy Brown would chase his ass down and lose his head trying to do it.

I'm actually afraid as to when Eastwood could pass away. I mean..he's getting up there. And considering he's doing his best work at this age just enhances that fear of losing him.

Clint's mother just died in 2006. She was 97, so maybe Clint got that aging gene as well. I'd like to think he'd still be around for another 20 years.

Trailer

I have watched the part where Eastwood's Batman-like voice warns the kids next door to get off his lawn about four times in the past five minutes.

Naturally this movie officially looks fucking great. If it isn't a Dirty Harry film, Eastwood surely has a meaner, if deep down more sympathetic companion to Inspector Callahan. As a vigilante movie (if it is), this could be with the greats of Rolling Thunder and Death Wish. But I'm thinking more Unforgiven meets A History of Violence.

Yep, he often just does one-take of scenes and I don't know that he's ever gone over-budget on one of his movies (that he directed).

Changeling may not be out in a wide release, but it was shown at Cannes in May.

After watching the trailer for a third time, I'm beginning to think his character is going to die in the end.

There will be surprises in the script that's for sure. Those tempted to declare that GT looks predictable would be well advised to remember two things. 1) The trailer for Million Dollar Baby - which also looked rather predictable - until it actually opened & audiences walked out of every screening in shock, & 2) Eastwood has demonstrated time & time again a real instinct for picking strong provocative stories. Just as he couldn't be bothered with a simple rags to riches tale in M$B, you can bet that with GT he isn't interested in a tale as simplistic as a synopsis or trailer might make it sound. I repeat, there will be surprises.

Oh, & one other thing - that trailer totally rocks. Eastwood looks so great I can't wait to see this.

Wow...If this is his final film to act in, this will be a damn fine picture to end it in. Damn, I want that poster..

wtf? where the hell did that come from?? that was f-ing awesome! Angry Clint sounds cliche but damn can he pull it off each and every time.

*deep voice*
"Ever notice how you'd come across somebody once in awhile ya shouldn't-a messed with?

*even deeper voice*
That's me."

How 'bout a Batman Beyond movie with Jake Gyllenhaal as Terry McGinnis and Eastwood as old Bruce??

If this gets a theatrical release in my area of the world, I'm there, this looks good and Clint once again shows us why he's The Man.

Damn, that trailer was excellent. If the movie is half as good as the trailer this is a huge winner.

Watching that trailer I only thought one thing.... Harry Callahan needs a final movie worth going out on. If Stallone can successfully close out the Rocky and Rambo series at 60 I'd say that Eastwood can play a retired Harry Callahan having to deal with some trouble.

(Of course, that's what this trailer kind of looks like. It may not be a Dirty Harry movie, but it looks like a, "Dirty Harry In Retirement," movie. Sort of.)

I think its a different film, much like Tightrope and Blood Work, I wouldn't get your hopes up regarding a final Dirty Harry film as Clint has said that there won't be another in that series.

I can't tell if the critics are going to poop all over this movie or not. If they don't, Clint finally has his acting oscar.

Yeah, I know the chances of another Dirty Harry film are slim and none - and slim's on his way out the door.

But I can dream that he saw the success on all levels that Stallone had with Rocky Balboa and realized that The Dead Pool was a crappy way to end the Harry Callahan series, can't I?

Wow, I didn't expect to like that as much as I did. Trailer looks awesome, I'll definitely catch this one opening weekend. May as well be an old retired Callahan from how the character appears to act. Fine by me.
