Is it possible there will be a Blu-ray and 4k Release in 2020?

Anything possible, but it is extremely unlikely.

We will have to settle for a movie tie-in book

The book was sold as nonfiction, but it's total fiction. There are a couple of articles I posted earlier in this thread that tore apart the book point by point. Sheeran made it all up, even the phrase, "I heard you paint houses."

How are the de-aging effects in the book?

Hmmmmm. Just saw it's going to be playing locally at an indie theater on the 15th. They just went through a renovation, added 2 screens and new 4k Iris projectors. I kinda want to support this. Tickets are only $10.

El Camino is likely because it is still a Sony TV production. The Irishman is 100% Netflix's. They don't do home video releases. I think they should reconsider this for high profile filmmakers and strike a deal with Criterion. Roma, Buster Scruggs, Meyorwitz, Marriage Story, Irishman would all be great releases for the label.

But they don’t want you to purchase physical media. They want you to subscribe to their service. If they ever did release one it would be years before it happened.

I get it, but it’s money in their pocket either way so I would think it would make sense in certain cases like this to put out a physical release.

It doesn’t make sense to them, no. What you think and what they do are two different things. They aren’t trying to conform to typical business model. If they cared about “money in their pocket” they would’ve allowed some of their films to play in major theatre chains and then release after the allowable window, but that’s not what they want. They want you as a subscriber. Every month.
In four years since they done movies, they haven’t put out a physical release. That’s the fact. Cloverfield doesn’t count because it was an acquisition from Paramount who kept home video rights.

I didn’t say I was right about it necessarily. Just that I could see a case for a physical release being warranted and hope it happens.
They could even do something similar to what they did with the Stranger Things seasons and make it an exclusive to a certain store (possibly Target if that relationship is already in place).

If it got a theatrical release it should be released on Blu-ray
A lot of movies have dvd and streaming releases so why should it matter?

No Netflix movies get physical releases. Regardless of what you want, this isn't what they do. For now anyway. I hope it changes.

Criterion just announced Roma coming in Feb 2020. Precedent has been set. Hopefully, Buster Scruggs is next and more follow.

Down here in New Zealand, several of the Netflix TV series have been released on DVD - Daredevil, Luke Cage etc. Good Omens from Amazon Prime too. Not sure if any movies yet though.
I'll second Buster Scruggs, I really want a physical copy to join my Coen collection.

Nevermind, saw it was discussed further (re: ST).
______________
As for The Irishman, I saw it Friday in theaters and was happy to do so as seeing a 3.5 hour movie at home is logistically impossible nowadays.
Would you want to see a 3.5 hour Scorsese crime movie? The answer to this question decides if you should see this film.
