Well, in retrospect many people wonder how box cutters could make it through airport security or how certain people could be warned of an imminent terrorist attack and not act on the tips. But I digress...

I can't believe the spoilers on IMDB

Spoiler:
I'm okay with Nolan making an Inception sequel, but did it have to involve making this whole series an elaborate dream for Bale's comic book obsessed character? Guess the presence of JGL should have been a tip.

It'll be for all IMAX midnight screenings, regardless of 15/70 or digital projection.

Disregarding the second example (as it goes to either competence or motive) the first one is no where near the logistical implausibility of the movies ferry set up (or hospital evacuation or seemingly unimpeded exit from the top floor of a 'locked down' penthouse tower).
You're talking about having either one other person who could have left the items in a post screened area for retrieval later- or lax security in a much different environment that post 9/11.
OTOH do you realize the kind of massive logistical organization and multiple bottlenecks passed that would be required to pull off just one of the TDKs parade of big events-especially in the wake of targeted assassinations of public orfficials? All done, not with professional highly skilled mercenaries but with escaped loonies and bottom feeding thugs who would turn on a dime for their own self interest?

If this were all being done by some group like the League of Shadows, you wouldn't have nearly the same hurdle to get over (which is why I'm more positively inclined to cut TDKR some slack despite my antipathy for Bane).

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

The IMDB board bascially covers the same rumors/predictions we've been talking about here...nothing very spoilerish at all, even if true. I mean there's only TWO possible endings: Bruce Wayne lives or Bruce Wayne dies. And knowing Nolan, we'll get something ambigious like Bruce dying and then a final scene where Batman shows up...is it Bruce? Is it John Blake? Is it someone else? Credits role and the debate begins.

If it ends with one of these things spinning on a table, I'm going to be pissed.

Sweetness. It's going in my light box as soon as I get back from seeing it.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

I think the ending will be that Bruce was actually shot at the same time as his parents and everything that takes place after that is in his mind as he lays there. Then he dies.

And looks over to see he's naked in bed with Keaton, Kilmer and Clooney.

I think it occurs to him when he's showering.

Anne Hathaway wakes up in bed, walks to the shower where George Clooney turns and says "Good Morning!"

I still have (numerous) rolled posters from The Avengers and Prometheus IMAX 12:01 screenings.

I wish IMAX could've started this ages ago.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

I'll admit. I just accidently read the REAL spoiler (where Bane reveals that he just wanted to use Bruce to help fund his startup software development firm) and am PISSED.

So the more fake spoilers in here, the better.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

I misread. Bane is blackmailing Bruce into signing onto a pyramid scheme. Seems like a lot of shit to go through with the plane escape, class warfare, etc.

What about the ending where Catwoman reveals that the Joker was a former gay lover of her ex-husband?

To anyone else going at midnight on 7/20, what time are you planning to get to the theater?

Dark Knight IMAX trilogy poster. Many theaters are starting the trilogy around 6pm. I think I'm gonna splurge and do this!

A lot aren't as:

1. The IMAX trilogy is digital only.
2. Any IMAX midnight show that is already sold out can't.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

I wish I'd gotten IMAX midnight tickets, but I work the next day (and I'm not taking a day off for a movie... at least, not this one), and it's sold out. Guess I'll try for Fri night tix, which should be close to sold out already.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

I didn't do Imax because I was worried about the crowd. There's plenty of suburban multiplexes around here that probably won't be too hard to get a midnight seat. I'll catch it on Imax after a few weeks.
