re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Joseph Gordon Levitt for the Joker-I'm leading the charge...or if they decide to go the Riddler route, then Michael C. Hall would be my pick. Actually no matter what Nolan does, I'm sure it'll be insanely good.

re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
I'd vote Christoph Waltz over both of those guys, mostly because the Joker covered the young crazy, we need another older crazy.

re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Waltz for what role? Riddler?

re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Method acting showdown: Christian Bale vs. Leonardo DiCaprio.

re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
If they do Riddler, Michael C. Hall and Sam Rockwell would be fantastic choices.

re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
I wouldn't mind The Riddler if he's just a behind-the-scenes Kingpin type villain, along with some side villains such as Harley Quinn and Deadshot:
1. Opening action scene of Batman stopping Harley Quinn and her Joker fanatics, which ends the run of Joker's fanclub criminals 2. Batman is then put through a few challenging deathtraps (which could be visually amazing since Nolan may be getting more visually creative with Inception). When Batman escapes the deathtraps, The Riddler then sends in Deadshot to finish Batman off. So, then there is awesome fight scene of Batman vs. Deadshot. Batman gets fucked up by Deadshot, especially since Deadshot uses deadlier weaponry. 3. Batman finds out what The Riddler is doing or who is he, and defeats The Riddler with the help of Deadshot. Bruce Wayne (or Batman) flips his death contract around by basically paying more money to Deadshot to take out or stop The Riddler... |
re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
i think they should stick to one villian. i don't want to see another debacle that S-M 3 was.

re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
I'm not sure why people keep mentioning Michael C. Hall for the Riddler. He's far too droll.
Christoph Waltz, on the other hand = perfect casting |
re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
The best part about these old threads coming back is that I'm pretty sure people just repeat the same desires and complaints that they had a year ago

Forget re-visiting past stories/origins and just do Dark Knight Returns. The time is right, and Nolan's the man to do it right.

I think they should jump right to an adaptation of Dark Knight Strikes Again. That's what everyone really wants to see, right?

I'd love to see Waltz in a Nolan film for sure.

Not really. I'm probably alone on this, but I wasn't a fan of DKSA...

re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Waltz is already a supervillain in The Green Hornet.
I'm looking forward to whoever Nolan selects, because it's probably not going to remotely be like anyone we're thinking of for whatever hypothetical role. Watch it, he'll probably have David Hyde Pierce as the black-skull-faced fella. |

Yeah, that's the one. Or maybe it isn't. I just saw the picture of him on a comic cover someone posted a few pages back.

re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
