Wow. Yeah, I don't know what to say. I really hope it's a Net Rumor.
But then again, keeping an open mind, I'm so fascinated with Nolan's "real world" take on Batman's World I'm kinda interested....kinda.

That said, I freely admit I like Miley Cyrus. But I can't really picture her as Barbara Gordon. She's too young. Wasn't Barbara in college when she first dressed up as Batgirl?

Aren't all these silly rumours a bit early? Has Nolan even started working on the movie? Isn't he busy with Inception?

Nolan HAS NOT started to write the script, nor has he even signed on to the next Batman film. WB just said that right now nothings going on with the franchise, any rumors you hear until the script is completed are all bull shit.

And yet there's all this talk about them like there's the remote chance of these being true, no matter how stupid (Miley Cyrus, Eddie Murphy) sound.

If Nolan brings in Catwoman, he'll probably present her as The Cat. That was the original iteration of Catwoman and it'd fit with Nolan's "real world" aesthetic with these films.

Somebody mentioned Michael Shannon earlier. I wouldnt mind seeing him take on the role of the Joker if they decided to put the Joker in the 3rd movie.

They won't. After hearing how hard Heath Ledger's loss was for Nolan, I don't think he would be capable of recasting the role.

Ah, I was thinking of all the TAS villains and was trying to think of one villain we haven't seen in the movies that would be good.Anyone remember Red Claw?

Would be fun to watch a woman kick Batman around.
Or the ninja? Who says we can't have another ninja?

Or what about Ra's al Ghul's daughter Talia?

Doesn't seem like Harley Quinn would work too well without The Joker. Had Heath lived I imagine we could have had some great scenes of The Joker twisting Harley's mind until she snaps and becomes a villain.

I love how there's all this anticipation, but there isn't even a guarantee Nolan's going to pump out a third film, is there? I mean ideally yes - but what if Nolan's burnt out?
I would think at this point the earliest we'll get a film is either 2012 or 2013. I think that 3-year window between Begins and TDK was a one-shot deal since in order for Nolan to give a treatment to a third film it's going to take a lot of time. There isn't even a script yet.

I agree having Harley Quinn w/o Joker is pointless. I wouldn't mind seeing some of the lesser known villains. I think the best villain would be Bane if they could do it right, but I think that would be terribly challenging.

Yeah, Joker and Harley Quinn or just Joker solo. Quinn could not withstand by herself without the Joker, story wise. Her existence is all stemmed from Mr. J. It wouldn't make sense.

If the series lasts long enough I could see someone like The Riddler using a mass Arkham breakout to run Batman through a gauntlet of villains, but I really can't see Bane working in the Nolan Batverse.

I was wondering if they would be using the global financial turmoil as a possible backstory for a new film. Something along the lines of what happened to the mobs' money and how Gotham has succumbed to a new industrialist with major influence on the government as well as crime.
