I could see him working in Nolan's universe.

Also, in spite of his travesties and being in Old Dogs, World's Greatest Dad was the best thing he's done since winning the Oscar. And it's the type of pitch black performance he gave that would make him worthy in Nolan's Batman universe.

I just read up about that movie because of your post. And then because of World's Greatest Dad, I also looked up Sleeping Dogs Lie. Seriously, the premises of both are fascinating. Who knew Bobcat Goldthwait had such depth?

World's Greatest Dad was sick, but kind of brilliantly honest at the same time. Really didn't need to see Robin Williams naked though.

Williams is a pretty good actor, but Nolan would have to seriously keep him in check to fit into the current Batman world. Pissed off, batshit crazy Williams would be entertaining. Batshit crazy without the pissed off wouldn't work.

Nolan seemed to do a great job of that in Insomnia...

Add Killshot to that list. He played a good psycho in it.

re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

Williams would work as Riddler, but I think his time was back in the days of Burton.

I know Nolan wants to keep everything realistic and ease away from the more unnatural villains. But if he should change his mind, I think Christina Hendricks would make a good Poison Ivy. Also, make sure you shoot all of her scenes in IMAX format!

Christina Hendricks as Catwoman would put Pfizer out of business by 4:45pm opening day.

Yeah, when I saw them posted over at Blu-Ray.com, I felt I had to share them here. The themes and ambition remind of Batman: The Animated Series. As you pointed out, there are some obvious limitations (to put it delicately) but the intent still shines through.

Yeah, that's her. I find her cute, actually. I've had a crush on her ever since I first saw her on Firefly.

Actually, Hendrick could be better as either Poison Ivy or Harleyquin.

I disagree. If they went the vamp/femme fatale way (the most obvious one), she'd be perfect. I can't see her bouncing around in a Flatbush accent saying "Mista Jay" or "BOink-boink
