Well the Bat Pod really tells us nothing. Either she is Batman's ally and he loaned it to her (like he loaned the Tumbler to Gordon in BB), she stole it from Batman, or she also works for the League of Shadows and she got this Batpod from Bane.

This is indeed Heath Ledger all over again. Ridiculous.

Which means she'll be awesome in the role, die while squatting in an appartment owned by one of the Full House twins :(, and win an Academy Award posthumously.

They've released an official picture of her as Catwoman. Ugh. Looks like some rejected spy movie costume.

That's a lucky batpod.

I wanted cat-ears on a hood... maybe... right now she is dressed as the Black-Widow and I need her to stand out as being different somehow.

I want to butter her biscuit.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

So seriously, what exactly were people expecting her to look like? This isn't "Batman Returns" or any other on-screen version of the character so what were people looking for? Halle Berry wasn't exactly a winner either in terms of her (very stupid) look.

Isn't this what was to be expected? Personally, it was exactly what I expected - not a "hey that's Catwoman" kind of thing at all because it would be downplayed to more of a simple thief kind of deal. No obvious 'ears' or whip or whatever the elements are that Catwoman-esque because she's no-nonsense. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a joke about her lack of ears or a tail in the film itself similar to the joke about the lack of "Yellow spandex" in the first X-Men. Would be funny if she replies "really fanboy, really?"

;)

The official website labels her as Selina Kyle so I guess this is either her before she becomes Catwoman or she never becomes Catwoman.

Looking back at this pic, is this the same lobby used as the Gotham Bank in TDK when the Joker's face was first revealed in that movie?

They might just not be labeling her Catwoman because she never officially gets called that in the movie?

Also...nice to see a stuntwoman...I know that's a stupid thing to bring up but damnit I love those stunt people for their work.

I agree mate. I have two high school buddies who are stunt men based out of South Africa and they were recently in London for the filming of The Dark Knight Rises. Tried getting some info from them....but no such luck. They have since moved onto World War Z.

Spoiler:

Given the other pics of the stunt woman on the batpod is on the steps where Batman was fighting Bane -- which means she's probably involved in that melee somehow -- (and the same one where "Miranda Tate" is walking out with two armed guards to the Tumbler), probably not. Although I supposed they could've reused that set in some way.

Has Caine or Freeman even started their work in this yet?

I didn't mean that it was meant to be the Gotham bank but rather that they seem to be reusing the same location (obviously redressed) previously used in TDK.

Agree. If that is the same one, then William Fichtner's character needs a raise. Don't mind the look of Selina, kind of like long hair.
In terms of people saying she might be underwritten, that is a possibility . With the exception of Carrie Ann Moss in Memento , I think most women in movies by Nolan seem underwritten compared to the guys.

Well, it's possible. As has been discussed before, Nolan often comes under budget so maybe that's one of the ways?

Back in June, "Batman On Film" linked a Hollywood Reporter article that said Freeman was going to be part of the UK shooting, then moving to Pittsburgh, then Los Angeles afterward.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...bama-he-196667

It was dated June 9.

In the same news update, mention was made of Caine talking to BBC Radio about shooting around the same time in the UK.

That stuff was shot in Chicago and not on a Hollywood or English soundstage, so since they aren't involving Chicago at all, it's doubtful.

Can't be the same location, the original location for the bank heist in the beginning of TDK is in Chicago (this is in Pittsburgh, I believe)

Well the exterior is Pittsburgh. Who's to say the interior isn't Chicago or a soundstage?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

For those griping about Selina's look, would you have been happier with the one from Miller/Loeb where she had a mask with whiskers , ears, and a tail? What looks good on a comic page doesn't always do such on screen. Only problem I see is that it would be kind of hard for Selina to remain hidden from the law if all she uses as a disguise is basically dark sunglasses.
