So THE DARK KNIGHT won't break TITANIC's record.
My heart goes out to all those who went more than once to see DARK KNIGHT to try and break the record. Couldn't wait a few months for the dvd to see it again.

Yeah, it's hard to fit an IMAX screen in my home.

The Rocker looked awful so I think it's justified. I love Rainn Wilson as Dwight but he's not a leading-man like Steve Carrell.

Good for Tropic Thunder.

Exactly, I'm planning to see it again one or two more times in IMAX, it's a movie experience that can't be replicated in your home theater.

I am a lead-farmer motherf*cker!

I love that line and it's great to see the best action-comedy of 2008 stay at number 1.

In other news, The Longshots did poorly at #8. Fred Durst can't catch a break, can he?

You mean a movie with very little advertising starring Ice Cube about a girl who becomes a football player on a guys football team isn't selling well? There's a shock.

I was cautiously optimistic about my first IMAX experience this weekend because of the changing A/R, but I MUST see it again this way before it leaves the theater. It's just stunning.

How exactly would that factor into the overall box office total? Douche or no, people are barely aware the film was being released, much less that is was directed by Fred Durst.

It simply has no bearing.

Glad to see Tropic Thunder pulled ahead for the weekend. I can't believe that House Bunny film did so well, but most reviews I've read have said it's funny. I still won't see it. I'd rather just look at pictures of Anna Faris online. TDK should be over $500m by about this time next week.

The IMAX scenes are just shots of the skyline. Big deal. Not worth the extra $10

Uh, no they're not. All the big action set pieces are in IMAX as well.

The Dark Knight will be re-released in November to capitalize on Heath Ledger's Oscar chances and to capitalize on profits.

Yep, it's only $4 more here. But hyperbole is par-for-the-course for Mr. Lopez.

I want the Titanic to sink into the Box Office Records down to number #2 and please let Dark Knight be the new NO.1
