Joke post?

Spawn isn't even a DC comics character.

Using Bane for the third movie doesn't mean that they need to necessarily regurgitate everything from the Knightfall storyline.

The third Die Hard movie was pretty good.

They could go with Harley Quinn.

Well, I'm sure there's already plenty of threads discussing the quality of Die Hard 3, so I'll keep it short and say that I completely disagree.

Personally I wish the series would end because as another post said, they "blew their load" with this one. If Nolan does sign on to do one more, my choice would be Catwoman (paging Angelia Jolie). I could possibly see the Riddler if they made him into a Zodiac type killer.

I vote for the Riddler too. And Catwoman.

Both the Riddler and Catwoman were foreshadowed in TDK.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/faq#.2.1.5

"There is one point where Lucious Fox and Batman are discussing the new Bat-suit. Batman makes a comment about the strength of the suit, saying it could protect him from "cats"--a possible (Zephyr2006 says Definite Reference) reference to Catwoman.

Some are saying that a man who tried to blackmail Batman, named Mister Reese (Mysteries) will turn into The Riddler."

Mister Reese = Mr. Reese = Mysteries = Riddler... I don't know if the guy who played him in TDK could handle the new role... but who knows. Plus, Jim Carrey's riddler was hell-bent on finding out who Batman is... this guy already knows.

I think if they were foreshadowing the Riddler with Reese, they would have hired a name actor and signed him to a 2-picture deal.

...but that's just me.

That said, since a certain party is out of the picture at this point, Catwoman could be a reasonable villain/love interest in the next film.
Obviously, he wouldn't be a CG-abomination, but just someone who's really jacked who could f*ck Batman up. If you could buy:
Spoiler:
two-face running around with half a face without getting an infection
then someone the size of Bane shouldn't be THAT unrealistic.

Yeah, I agree. Batman/Bale is fairly muscular, but it would be just fine having a large dude be able to toss Batman around.

Here's the rub - name an actor noticeably larger than Bale.

Who can act.
Really well.

I'd pay $13.50 to watch Batman do Sudoku

I think the Riddler as a calculating, gruesome puzzle setting character would definitely work. Especially if he and Batman don't come into contact until close to the end ala Seven. This could really show off Batman's detective skills while trying to hunt down who the Riddler is.

As filler, Batman would have a love interest who moonlights as a cat burglar. Nothing major, but enough to wreak havoc during the film. I believe in the comics Catwoman isn't completely evil either, so maybe her being in that "gray" area could be interesting.

Of course I would love to see the Joker return in some capacity. Possibly in a Hannibal Lecter role at Arkham?

I'm not saying he's a great actor by any means, but Vin Diesel still has potential as an actor. And I think he could be a scary MF if he wanted to be.

He feels more moral, ethical, and intelligent than the vast majority of Gotham City. In addition, Mr. Nolan has shown a great deal of interest in messing with time (i.e. Memento and even The Prestige). Johnny Depp would be perfect. As for the Joker, I'd take Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as a good replacement for Ledger. Oh, Ben Foster as the Riddler in a future
film.
Wasn't he just in the newest storylines in "Teen Titans", I hadn't seen him before that. Cool character, they didn't dig too deep into his personality but still really good.
As of the next bad guy is, i'd say screw it. Just do "The Killing Joke" and add to it to fill in for time.
If you were going to go with a someone new, Riddler and Catwoman would be a good choice since we haven't seen either one from the comic books. While the acting was good in both roles(in returns and forever) obviously someone didn't read the comics when writing the script. At least not the books i've read. I'm not really trying to be a picky super-geek and i can see them making some changes to the characters but to me they were no where near the characters that i knew and loved.

Bane is not a difficult character to adapt. You can hire a pro bodybuilder, throw a mexican wrestling mask on his head, dub his lines and there you go. The thing with Bane that needs to be brought forward in the script is that he isn't just a dumb goon.

I think to determine the villians we need to figure out which ones fit into a world where Batman is on the run from both the law and the mob. Yes, there is always a mob!

You guys and Bane. Whatever...I still think it sucks but if it'll get me another Batmovie then I'll play along.

I don't know Spider-Man 2 & 3 had Kurt Connors and he never turned into Lizard.

I think Jolie would be pretty good as Catwoman. Not sure how you tie her into a story that's going to be up to the standards set by TDK, though.
