Final Jeopardy the answer is: Phil Villareal
The question: Who is the only critic of 46 at RT to give Wall-E a negative review?
Thanks, Alex.

Brian should prepare for a shit storm coming his way from those RT nerds! They absolutely tore the other reviewer to shreds! He even deleted his review and reposted it so that it would erase all their negative comments, but they posted another 160 comments trashing him after that.

Hopefully, the people who are going to criticize Brian will see the movie first before ripping him to shreds. I don't think that's going to happen though.....

I know. The other guy was mainly torn up because he gave a positive review to "The Happening" but then trashed Wall-E and Ratatouille. Then when he deleted his review to get rid of all the nasty comments, it just pissed them off even more.

You know, not everybody is going to agree it's an amazing movie. I say this because I haven't liked a lot of the Pixar flicks myself (Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Cars, Bugs Life -- did nothing for me). It happens, whatever floats their respective boats.
Plus, green stands out in the midst of all that red
.
I have a harder time taking praise/insults from people who use 'kool' and 'crap'. Man do I hate the bigger movie forums.

I've seen it, and its fantastic, I posted my thoughts in the other thread, saw it a week ago at Pixar. All the trailer stuff is pretty much in the 1st 1/3rd, there's a ton in this film that isn't even referenced in the trailer.
I think everyone here will be blown away by the film.

I also gave up on Brian's reviews long, long ago.
I don't even mean this as a knock against Brian really, even though it seems like I'm always bitching about the guy. I've simply come to terms that he will almost always love the films I hate and he'll almost always hate the films I love.
Back when that first negative review hit RT, I almost posted in this thread saying that I'd be willing to bet that Brian would give it a very, very negative review also. He can be that predictable at times. His review for Wall-E is just especially horrible, possibly his worst. Not just because of such a low score for this movie, but also the overall content of the review. It's barely even a film review period, if at all when you really look into it.
I'll just leave it at that, or else my post will end up looking like a huge knock against Brian after all.

Wow, I'm just waiting for the third bad review on Rotten Tomatoes to see what happens to him/her.
It's funny how the 2 reviewers are getting ripped a new one, when there are plenty of other movies out there that have been given bad reviews before (although I do agree that both of them seem to have a personal vendetta against Pixar).
But a D+? Really? A D+ in my book means that I found absolutely nothing of value in a movie (bad acting, set design, cinematography, script, etc). I haven't seen Wall-E yet, but even the worst Pixar movie (Cars IMO) didn't warrant a D+. I think someone was watching this movie through poop colored glasses.

This is the best reply over at his comments...
So my questions is, which one of you wrote it?
Let's say I'm an indie filmmaker in a struggling animation firm outside San Francisco. I know how to make great films. I know I want to release a bunch of films, some of which might even deal with complicated issues like the dangers of global corporations or the importance of sustainable living. Would I rather:
A) Use the vast money and resources of a major corporation to get global distribution and extensive marketing, as to open up the dialog about these issues between parents and kids all over the WORLD.
or
B) Stay true to my laurels and make a great film that only a handful of people will see at a film festival. If only we had a little more cash to make it the way we wanted...
Now you might ask...how will mega corporation X possibly let me release this movie? Because when I make damn good movies, I end up calling the shots.
And Wall-E is a damn good movie despite the politics of who Andrew Stanton's boss' boss is.
I applaud Andrew Stanton for raising important themes in a manner that lets kids understand them at an early age. I applaud him for not hitting us over the head with these themes, and creating a story that anyone with eyes and a heart can love.
We're all better off for having this film on the market, and you brianorndorf, should know better.
