Not only that, but a lot of times when he's asking (or begging) Rick, TC, Carol, or Higgins for favors, it's done with such a playful school boy-ish charm. I don't think I've ever gotten that feeling from any of McConaughy's roles, which tend to be more high schoolish hijinx.

If McConaughey takes the job, they need to change the title to Magnum, PU.

true, but when has MM really played this sort of character? it should be interesting. let's just hope it doesn't suck.

it's a shame they didn't decide to do a theatrical movie back in the 80s, that would've been awesome.

MM actually doesn't sound like a bad choice to play Magnum. If this gets made I hope they don't try to do some lame parody/spoof movie.

Well, as much as I would have prefered to see Selleck take up the mantle again, if this keeps MM from doing another "Fool's Good" or "Failure to Launch," it will be worth it.
