I'd actually be stoked if the reverse happened.

Spoiler:
He could be fitted for the "old" design, someone decides to change it, whatever, then later on he gets fucked up and has to be put into the old suit for the climax.
Or something to that effect.

It's funny that this is shot in Toronto, because that's where the original 1994 TV series (which was even more true to the character of Murphy himself than either RoboCop 2 or 3 were even though the violence was obviously totally toned down to be family friendly and it still worked, at least to me) and that abysmal piece of dog shit "Prime Directives" miniseries were both filmed.

The one thing both the TV series and that crap miniseries got right? They kept the original suit design.

re: RoboCop (2014, Padilha) S: Kinnaman, Oldman, Jackson

is there any chance whatsoever that the are going to add in some sort of CGI morphing effect to that hand area? like a liquid terminator type thing that could form the shape of different weapons?

/\ I don't know... If that were the case, wouldn't the hand be covered in green? Or possibly mo-cap dots?

Looks like Bob Morton was correct. Total body prosthesis was the right call.

Budget cuts. That's why Robocop was also built in Malaysia, it seems.

The EM-208. Some humanoid drone from the film. Supposedly a first version prototype of what leads up eventually to RoboCop.

I really really hope the filmmakers shot that as a really hard 'R' - like the recent Dredd movie.

re: RoboCop (2014, Padilha) S: Kinnaman, Oldman, Jackson

I enjoyed the original Robocop its was violent, campy, entertaining, scifi fun. This looks like it might be taken too seriously. The casting of Michael Keatin interest me but I think I'll have to netflix this. The pics I see just keep getting worse and worse.
