No, a double sided poster means that it's made to have light projected through it. As someone above said, it gives it a 3D appearance if displayed correctly. They are almost always more valuable than other prints.

re: The Film Posters thread

To be completely honest... I totally could have gotten that Iron Man poster (I live in Austin and they've been available for a week at the Mondo retail store) but I am worried the film will suck. I've been stuck with awesome posters for films I've hated in the past and they're just a waste of money, no matter how awesome (because I won't hang a poster for a film I hate). Hope to get their Evil Dead poster though this week (if I can).

re: The Film Posters thread

Annnd I just went home from Mondo today with this:

Mondo just reopened (with a bigger layout, better focused on posters) They had it in the "scratch/dent" drawer because of a small blemish (size of a penmark) on the border that you can't even see when framed and at a discount. Awesome.

Also saw the metal variant while I was there, they had 2 copies left... damn sexy but STICKER SHOCK ($250!)

Obviously I liked the film

JordanGLC... those Godzilla posters are gorgeous. I'd love the Ghidrah on my wall.

I've currently got an original for Godzilla 1985 and the 1974 poster for the video release of Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster.

Thanks! Normally, mine is hanging on a wall. I took it down to move it to place with better lighting for the picture.

Video release in 1974?

Take pictures and post them. This thread needs more kaiju representation.

While that poster does look pretty cool, it also looks messy at the same time. Is it compulsary to include every scene from the film?

I have this problem that I don't think any one thing should be repeated on a movie poster. You can have Tony Stark and Iron Man as they are kinda "different" but that has IM 5 times in that poster.

Not a film poster per se... but I picked up Martin Ansin's new Star Trek poster at Mondo today during my lunch break. It's pretty badass. And already sold out after less than 2 hours:
Spoiler:

EDIT: Whoa... that's huge. Spoilerized for the sake of side scrolling.

Anyone have any experience buying from Pop Culture Graphics? I'm looking at their Amazon marketplace stuff. Looks like the few reviews I see are saying the prints are crap. They do have some double-sided ones for $10 though...

There's a chance WB may release a teaser Green Lantern poster at the end of the Summer, or around Comic Con.

There's a linen-backed one-sheet listed on eBay now.

I have about 25 posters and am about to go to the ceiling. What's the best way to put posters on a ceiling and in the best condition?

With the red and how wide his eyes are open, this honestly looks like a "wanna ride in my windowless van, kids" poster.

The size is 16x22. The paper is fairly thick and glossy, so the ink really pops on this one.

New Alamo Drafthouse Star Wars series kicks off with this print. Available now. First Alamo print I have wanted in a couple months. I am so glad that they used a character like Gonk instead of the typical Vader or Boba Fett.

This is something Star Wars related that I would not feel embarrassed to display at my age.

Michael's has a 20% off coupon today on their website. It's good on sale items as well. Their 27x40 frames are already 40% off this week, so after the coupon, they're down to $19+ tax. That's what I use and I'm very happy with them. Good quality.
