Also FinkPish, you tend to stick up for people who don't stick up for themselves. Get a new hobby.

Sometimes I wish I was Canadian. Brack and FinkPish remember we are not enemies. Michael Moore is a person who would've been imprisoned or executed in many countries. At least in America he and his films are available and safe. I believe it says a lot when someone and their films generate such emotion. It's healthy for our society.

Hey, it's not my fault people don't understand the difference between opinion and facts. It's one thing to say "Michael Moore is a jerk." That is obviously an opinion. It's another to say (paraphrasing here) "He never gives solutions in any of his movies." That's stating something as fact.

I absolutely believe in correcting someone who has their facts wrong. I am also happy when someone corrects faulty data I believe is true. I think you did address the assertion that Mr. Moore "never gives solutions". As someone who tends to agree with Michael Moore, thank you.

Universal health care would work great...for those that already have private insurance. I actually support the idea, but it takes more than universal health care to fix the system, it requires an entire new approach regarding the way health insurance companies pay out claims.

Well, it'd be a new approach in that it wouldn't be like the current system at all. Universal Health Care works in all the countries that have it. The problem is no one wants to pay for it by raising taxes, and it won't get done while so much money is going to wars.

That's a rather blanket statement. So are you saying that every person in every nation which has Universal Health Care would agree with your statement? Your statement is phrased as if it were a fact.

I would say all those people would prefer their health care over ours.

Maybe *we* should have a separate Political Movie/Filmmaker forum.

People over at HTF tend to get their panties in a wad when political movies are discussed from the "wrong" perspective: Don't criticize #43.

and I'm not saying all these countries level of care is better than ours. those have to do with economic reasons. I think we have the capability to do it and to do it as well as France does, which is ranked number one in health care by WHO. And guess what kind of health care they have.

Why do you think that is? What does economics have to do with health care?

I think he is able to pull out some truth, but he twists it in a way that is over the top and takes it a little too far where I think it ruins some credibility of the real truth. He's even admitted he twists things to fit his own view.

Well, in that case, I'd want both. And yep, it's possible.

What do you mean by support him? I support his right to make whatever movies he wants to make. Yes I also think he is full of it, but so are a lot of people.

Why should I or anybody else pay for your health care?
