Is Lone Wolf McQuade the greatest movie ever?

They roll out every cliche in the book over the course of the film, which is the ultimate "loner who plays by his own rules cop movie": slow mo montages of Norris firing his gun and targets, Norris only getting really angry after they kill his dog, hanging onto a speeding truck, shirking authority, unncessary force. You name it this film has it. To top it off, it somehow is Rated PG despite having dozens of point blank killings and a half-dozens instances of the f-word. I'd say the mayhem is only topped by Norris' Invasion USA.

It is pretty close to being the greatest movie ever (although Invasion USA might give it a pretty good run for it's money). I think my favorite parts of LWM, were the midget crime boss, and when they try to bury Chuck alive inside his truck. Now I'm going to have to watch this again.

Thanks a lot.

Is LWM the one where he get buried alive in his truck and he drives out? If so I may have to agree...

Count me in on loving me some McQuade. Everything about this film screams awesomeness to the extreme. From Carradine facial mannerisms to Norris' ham-fisted scene chewery, this is a man flick that's got it all.

I'm still pretty partial to "Commando" myself.

But thats best left for a "Ah-nuld vs. Chuck" thread.

Unfortunately, nowadays, movies are populated by euro-type girlie-men whose pants are simultaneously too loose around the waist and too tight around the butt.
