All-female cast action movie: when will it be done?

I'm surprised there hasn't been an all-female cast action movie. Hollywood needs to make one. I assume that the most realistic way for this to be accomplished is if Hollywood finally make the VALKYRIE or WONDER WOMAN films.

And when they do make an all-female cast, I would like to see it with all of Hollywood's smart, underrated, good-looking ones.

For example, imagine an action movie a la "300" starring, and I can't imagine if they would want such high salaries:

CONNIE NIELSEN:

LENA HEADEY:

OLIVIA WILLIAMS:

ROSARIO DAWSON:

ALISON LOHMAN:

THANDIE NEWTON:

It would be nice also to have these actresses in the film as well, but they probably are too expensive: Keira Knightly, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayak, Naomi Watts, Kate Winslet, Hillary Swank, Cate Blanchett, Monica Bellucci, Julianne Moore, Chalize Theron, Jennifer Connelly.

Does anyone else recommend any other affordable actresses that could be in an all-female cast action flick? I'm mainly thinking very good actresses, because if it's open to all actresses (including the bad ones or ditzy ones), then people are going to stick in Pamela Anderson, Morena Baccarin, Jessica Beil, Lindsey Lohan, and Jessica Alba (although I will watch anything that Alba is in regardless of her poor acting).

You mean like, say, The Heroic Trio?:

Yeah i've seen those two highly entertaining flicks, but I mean more women, not half men and half women. I mean like a full assault all-women action flick. One man is okay, sort of like how Lena Headey was basically the only woman in the "300" film.

I want to see a movie with women as the heroes and as the villains, and all the sidekicks and small roles as women as well. haha

There already exists hundreds of action films with a trio of females kicking ass, but kicking mainly male ass, with possible one female villain. We need a whole shebang of females in one flick.

Wouldn't it be easier if you just watched porn?

The movies posted are all trios, and are all action-comedies, and with ditzy, bad actresses...I mean like a serious action movie too. There are serious action movies, aren't there? But I suppose it would have to be a sci-fi/fantasy/mythological action movie, because why would a movie only have one sex in it? That's why I mentioned Valkyrie and Wonder Woman, which are sci-fi/fantasy.

I mean ALL female: no HK action movies with one or a trio of female ass-kickers, no Milla Jovovic flicks, etc...

WENDERSFAN, haha, when it comes to sex, porn is better with women AND men together (lesbo porn isn't as "entertaining"). But violence is highly entertaining when it's with women. In action movies, everyone looks forward to watching that one token female ass-kicker. Why not make everyone female?

Heroic Trio immediately came to mind.

What about So Close?

I'm all for it. But I kind of hate Lena Headey.

All of those actresses, except perhaps Rosario Dawson, aren't very expensive to get. You're probably looking at $10-20 million for the cast there which is very cheap nowadays.

Speaking of Dawson, what about Death Proof from Grindhouse?

Could "Death Proof" count? The antagonist is a man, but the main characters are all women.

Nope, Set it off, DEBS, Charlies Angles, So Close, Death Proof, Bad Girls, etc... ALL don't count. These are all movies with a few girls fighting men.

DROIDGUY, I think you are the only one here that gets what im saying. ALL female meaning ALL female.

NITRO: yeah, that's why I listed those actresses with the photos - definitely cheap great actresses and good lookin', should be leading ladies in huge hollywood films, but aren't! I can't imagine Rosario Dawson asking for too much. Her future slate of films aren't looking like much, except for Sin City 2.

I didn't see the movie, but I think THE DESCENT may be the only one, although with a small cast, not a big cast of females..
