Soylent Green is people, the cop gets burned alive by the villagers, and Sean Bean dies (in almost every movie).

That would be Missing, starring Ashley Judd, where he died to a car bomb within seconds of the show's debut.

it has to be an inside joke now.

Thanks, Dragon Tattoo. I never saw the show but I remember having a great laugh when I read about that.

Re: The Hobbit

If Sean Bean plays ever plays another knight, he should be called Ser Kenny.

I think a good way to end this movie would be
Spoiler:
a flashback to the downfall of Erebor. We will obviously get the song/poem of the dwarves early in the movie, but I think it should only be about half of it then, and perhaps the other half right before the end. Maybe Bilbo and the dwarves are by a fire when they continue the song, and the final shot could be of Smaug's massive shadow with the glowing light of his eyes therein, right before a large breath of fire. Or perhaps a quick flash of him mostly covered by his firey breath.
It could be similar to the end of Two Towers, where we get the daunting shot of Mordor, or if Jaws were split into two movies and they ended with the "bigger boat" comment.

But he returns as a ghost that only Haley Joel Osmont can see.

There's something really, really off that I can't put my finger on. I think it's the hair and makeup... it just looks incredibly artificial.

The hair and makeup style is far more playfull this time around. For lack of a better word, it looked more "grounded" in LOTR.

I get a kinda Terry Gilliam vibe from the dwarves and rabbit-driven sleigh.

Re: The Hobbit

I seem to notice in the trailer that the orcs seem to be running around naked. I hope that's only temporary, don't need any orc ass .

If you're bothered by orc ass, wait until you see their cocks and balls flopping around.

I really like that video. Many of the deaths are quite moving. Onscreen deaths of the good guy are one of my favorite things in movies. And I remember reading that most actors love doing it.

He also doesn't die in
Spoiler:
Ronin

I felt so confused when he turned up alive at the end of
Spoiler:
Mirror Mirror
and didn't randomly die right then and there.

Re: The Hobbit

So I'm not the only one thinking the trailers make it look like a Disney movie....
