Flight of the Living Dead?

I just found this:

http://dvd.ign.com/articles/805/805660p1.html

July 17, 2007 - On October 2, 2007, New Line Home Entertainment will release Flight of the Living Dead: Outbreak on a Plane on DVD. The latest in the …Of the Living Dead franchise follows a zombie outbreak that just so happens to leak on a plane, and will feature bonus materials and extra features, including a commentary track with IGN Entertainment Editors. It will be available for the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of $19.97.

The Flight of the Living Dead: Outbreak on a Plane DVD will feature the following bonus materials:

* Feature commentary with Director Scott Thomas and Producer David Shoshan
* Second Commentary Track with IGN Entertainment Editors Eric Moro, Steven Horn, and Christopher Monfette
* Gag Reel
What is this? I have never heard of it, but it sounds like the Dead series mixed with Snakes on a Plane. It is coming out on October 2 on DVD supposedly. Did it have a theatrical release?

To the best of my knowledge, it's direct-to-video. Used to be known as Plane Dead.

Zombies on a Plane!

Don't know whether to be excited or groan.

I will let someone else type the expected Sam Jackson quote.

Zombies + On Planes= Academy Award Winning Masterpiece!

Seriously, this actually sounds pretty entertaining & at least it sounds like a bit of a breathe of fresh air from most of the current Garbage Horror movies that have been released in the last 5-10 years.
It will be good for a laugh or two & It's pretty sad that these direct-to-DVD horror movies sound more intresting then the ones that have been released in the theater.

given this a direct to video release - this sound utterly cheesy and potentially really really bad.

At any rate, it can't suck any harder than Snakes on a Plane did.

When the two biggest names are Richard Tyson and Dale Midkiff, you can't expect much.

Yet, I am still quivering with anticipation. Feel my nipples! Hard as a rock, boy.

I guess they'll have to be slow zombies so the genre fans will be pleased.

I find most planes are filled with slow zombies.

I hope there is prerequisite eyeball violence; gouging, impalement.

Only thing I'll bag on is how long can a movie be with zombies on a plane? Even if it took place on a large Boeing 787 there is only so much room to run and hide from a bunch of zombies

But count me in!

I say eighty minutes top.

forty minutes in the establishing the characters, the latter half - killing them all.

It'll rely on the staple of all Airplane-set thillers. We'll have "Breathing room" scenes where passengers are able to barricade off an infected compartment while they regroup and plan, only to have that breastwork collapse which leads to more action/fleeing/killing, and then the next momentary respite in NEW "safe zone." Wash, rinse, repeat until climax.

Guaran-damned-teed.

That said, I'm totally fine with it and am looking forward

-Doc

So would it be safe to say the ones who turned into zombies first were in coach?

I hope it does so everyone can tell me how smart the movie is because the of social commentary.

I'm assuming that, at some point, the plane will land and the zombies will break free. Or maybe it will crash. The zombies are already dead, so they can just crawl out and attack the nearest town.

The key to the plot working is that there will be few usable weapons thanks to security restrictions. So they will really have to improvise.

So do you think the cockpit becomes a contaminated zone or does it remain the last defense. I'll bet the bathrooms are the main virus source and spreader site- just like real planes conditions.

I believe the infected will be the ones who chose the fish.

Nope, not taking that easy bait.

This plane is likely one of those huge planes with multiple levels, lounges, roomy seats, etc. Unlike any plane I've ever ridden.
