I wish it had Jim Carrey in it, would be much funnier, I love his facial expressions!

are the Ace Ventura movies even popular with kids these days? I don't see them connecting with the next generation for some reason (kinda like how most Jerry Lewis are forgotten).

And for all you AV2 hatters, lighten up. That movie is funny as hell, from the cliffhanger opening to the Rhino rear end, it's all funny.

He was being sarcastic!!!

I really doubt this movie will be any good. However, I was suckered into renting dumb and Dumberer, so this one will probably make it into my dvd player at some point.

I'll rent it. I liked the first 2 films, so I'll check this out just for the helluva it. I highly doubt it will be any good. Carrey should just suck it up and make the damn thing himself. It's not like he's winning any awards making non-comedy films.

Well technically, the sequel was a pile of guano. Batshit, not horseshit.

So this is obviously aimed at little kids...

Do little kids actually have any idea who Ace Ventura is?

The probably don't need to. I could see it being a decent kids movie.

(This is like the reboot of Star Trek, right? )

I totally agree. I hate that frickin' kid, but not as much as this guy, who has dedicated an entire blog to mocking him:

So how do they explain Ace Jr's father not being in the picture? Is the kid's dad a deadbeat that abandoned him?
