Re: Hot Rod
Finally watched my HD DVD of this last night. I love Samberg's humor, and this was an orgy of all that he provides. I can't remember the last time I saw a film - any film - so full of random oddities. This was a truly bizarre experience, but I really enjoyed the hell out of it. Samberg put a great cast together (McBride FTW!) and managed to craft what is certainly a unique comedy. The ridiculous plot alone puts this film in another category, nevermind all the weirdness thrown in for good measure.

Totally agree Suprmallet, it was really great and I can't believe it hasn't gotten more talk as a hidden gem; I loved the stoner bit with Bill Hader and the supporting characters like Ian McShane and Danny McBride were also pretty good.

Yup, I love this movie, it's so damn determined to please that it goes off the rails, constantly, and it works amazingly well because of it.

Re: Hot Rod
On a side note, why haven't they released a BD of his digital shorts? That would be epic.
