It was the first one, American Graffiti, that had it.

And I remember the character Toad was listed as either killed or MIA in Vietnam. That was shocking at the time, given that he was the most likeable character in the movie.

(Then in the sequel, he was shown as basically faking his death and "really" going AWOL instead as he deserted and escaped Vietnam on his own.)

Cause I just watched it: Glory Road... I also liked the interviews with the real people that ran during the credits.

Band of Brothers was mentioned, so since we're including HBO TV series (and I do consider Band of Brothers more of a film than a TV series)... I'll include the epilogue to the final episode of Six Feet Under!

Lord of the Rings had a very full closure. Suprised nobody mentioned it yet.

Larry Clark's Bully sort of does this, although it ends up just being
Spoiler:
what their jail sentences are
.

Scorsese's Goodfellas and Casino could sort of count as well.

I could have sworn that Stand By Me had this list, though it may have been an oral account of what happened and not a written list.

Good list! (and Stand By Me isn't listed... hmm...)

i just watched stand by me 2 weeks ago - the "where are they now..." portion is read by the narrator as the boys go their separate ways upon returning to town. it subsequently appears on the narrator's (ancient) computer screen as he composes it while his son waits for him with a friend.

Re: Movies with "Where they are now" endings

Currently not on that imdb list: The Right Stuff; the where-are-they-now epilogue is spoken narration by Levon Helm, who also played Chuck Yeager's buddy, Jack Ridley (Yeager would ask Ridley, "Got any Beemans?").
