Spider-Man 4 & 5 Villians!
#1 SPIDER-MAN 4 & 5: VILLAINS REVEALED!
Last week, director Sam Raimi revealed that on Spider-Man 3, he didn't have complete control over what villains to include, but for the next two movies he does. For Spider-Man 4 and Spider-Man 5 (which are expected to film back-to-back) it's now been revealed that Raimi plans to tell one big story that will incorporate elements from classic plot lines from the comics, with Spider-Man 5 in particular focusing on one of Spidey's most beloved tales.
In Spider-Man 4, Peter Parker will find the spider inside him lashing out, with his powers going violently out of control. Seeking help from his professor, Dr. Curt Connors, Peter discovers that Connors and his colleague Dr. Michael Morbius are actually both experimenting on incorporating animal blood (reptiles and vampire bats) into humans.
When Parker loses control in their laboratory, the antidotes that the scientists were using to keep themselves human are destroyed, causing them to become The Lizard and the vampire-like Morbius, even as Spidey goes fully spider, with four more arms popping out like a true arachnid. The three monsters break out into the streets of New York, creating havok, which soon attracts the attention of a big game hunter named Kraven.
Kraven's introduction will pave the way for Spider-Man 5, which may have the subtitle Kraven's Last Hunt, in which Kraven returns to New York City after Spider-Man has regained his humanity, to hunt Spidey once more.

That sounds like a horrible idea for 1 film let alone 2. This sounds like something a fan boy would write. Some things that work in a comic book won't work in a film.

I'm on board with this. Spidey 3 was a HUGE letdown for me but I understand that the studio got too involved with production... it seems that they're backing off now and letting Raimi do his thing. I'm expecting Spidey 1 and 2 goodness in 4 and 5.

From a Raimi interview posted over at aintitcool.com
Quint: Are you doing SPIDER-MAN 4 and 5 back to back? Or are you just doing them one at a time or do you know yet?
Sam Raimi: No one’s talked to me about making part 5 at this moment. Right now I’m hoping to make part 4.
...
Quint: ...When do you guys start on that?
Sam Raimi: Well, it’s a never-ending process. Basically we are talking about the story right now, shortly artists will come on and I’ll start giving them shots to draw. We are supposed to start talking to a production designer soon, so it will just keep getting larger and larger.

Spidey 1 was cool. Spidey 2 was AMAZING. Spidey 3 was unapologetically retarded.
Given that Raimi has more creative control this time around, I remain cautiously optimistic. I'd like to see a lean, kinetic, exciting Spider-Man film, clocking in at no more than 2 hrs and featuring only 1 villain.
And yeah, Kirsten Dunst was a miserable, unenthusiasic, unappealling, and mostly unattractive Mary Jane. As bad as Spidey 3 was, whenever Bryce Howard appeared she totally lit the screen up and blew Dunst out of the water in terms of screen presence and appeal.
In fact, I'd start the film with not only Parker and MJ broken up, but with him and Gwen Stacey already dating. Keep MJ out of the film entirely, lest she becomes yet another hostage for the villain at the end of the movie. Play up the Park/Stacey relationship is a really romantic, natural, organic thing, which will be all the more heartbreaking later when her storyarc plays out.

Even though I think the Spider-Man franchise has started to feel a little stale after the third film I'd still like to see a movie with Kraven as the villain. Too bad it was just an April fools joke. In any event I just hope the fourth film turns out better than the third.

Spider-Man 1 good (though I have some personal issues with it), Spider-Man 2 was pretty good (still not great), Spider-Man 3 was horrid....though it's the beginning 1/3 of it was pretty good, a lot like the comic more so than the others. I just really wish it'd really stop using MJ as a freaking reason to save the day. I mean 3 films..the girl gets in major ass trouble. Gets kinda repetitive, no? So sad that they didn't use Gwen Stacy as she was in the comic. It's really a slap to the face to have her go out like in the comics.

I think all of you who are calling Kirsten Dunst unattractive need to post pictures of your wives/girlfriends for the rest of us to judge.

All righty, since you posted a publicity shot of her at her absolute best, I will now counter attack with her at her worst with no makeup:
I think shes OK. Shes one of those women that can look good one minute, and not the next, but shes not a favorite of mine.
