The ending was definitely unexpected!
Spoiler:
Will Ferrel and Jon Heder hold hands while their ice skates turn into rocket skates and launch them out of the arena (a hole opens up in the arena ceiling for no reason, lol) and they fly away into the sky...THE END!
I thought it was hilarious.

Also, another great bit was the

Will Ferrell is very hit or miss for me, Taladega Nights was awful. Never been too impressed with Heder, but haven't seem much of him to be fair.

I went into Blades of Glory (free ticket from Best Buy) expecting to be mildly amused but disappointed. It was much better than I thought. The strong supporting cast (Fischer and Arnett) and fun cameos really helped. Not a must see, but definitely worth a matinee price.

It was #1 at the box office yesterday, but I wonder how much of that was the free tickets.

I'll probably pick up the DVD when it hits the $5.50 bin.

It's not a spoiler, he was quoting a line from the film. It's just a joke.

I thought it had enough laughs to warrant a matinee viewing. There are a few big laughs (at stuff you shouldn't be laughing at, but nonetheless...), but the characters are a little too broad and shallow to really care for this unlikely team-up for a male-male pairs skating team.

I give it 2.5 stars or a grade of C+.

I liked it. It was typical Will stealing the show and it had me laughing.

You guys can get all worked up over that Fischer girl but she did absolutely nothing for me. It was Amy Peohler who looked smokin' hot in this flick.

When the coach showed them that film from North Korea* we(me and the audience I saw it with) fell out laughing.

I don't know why this keeps coming to my head but I'm thinking that the theme song to this movie should have been: "I'm going down with my blades of glory."

Who is the woman in the TV spot that tells Will's character that she'll have to cut his pants off?

Caught this yesterday. Very funny film. Probably as good as Talladega Nights but no where near Anchorman. Arnet did a great job, a nice suprise from the awful Let's go to Prison. Jenna looked soooo goddamn hot. :-O Alot of laughs, 3.5/5

Just got back from seeing this. I'm not a huge fan of Will Ferrell but this movie was hilarious. Most of was gay jokes but it was very entertaining and I am so in love with Jenna Fisher. She is the ultimate girl next door. b+

FWIW, I still see the free tickets to this in Best Buys. They are free with any purchase, not just the ones indicated.

Do you know where the tickets are usually located? I haven't seen them in a Best Buy, are they at the checkout or placed around the new release DVDs at your BB?

Usually either on one of the 10 or so DVD section endcaps, or in the new release aisle.

Actually the movie had maybe 6 or 7 gay panic jokes, and they weren't among the funniest ones.

I had low expectations of this movie but I've seen it three times now (twice on a plane) and it does not disappoint. Not quite Old School caliber, but good.
