Somehow, I think Short Round would lose a lot of his charm as an adult. Maybe get another kid and introduce him as the Son of Short Round?

I'm hoping that Indy doesn't have an "assistant" for comic relief and/or to take over the franchise, but I have a feeling...

I thought Willie and Short round were very weak which brought the sequel down. They should never have gotten rid of Allen.

Hmm, interesting. Do we know if they are going to set this in a time period that is appropriate to Ford's age? In that case it would have to be the late 50s - early 60s right? A Cold War plot/villians could be promising.

Ford played a 50-something Indy in one of the Young Indiana Jones episodes. I think the upcoming film would be more interesting if Indy is played as close to Ford's real age, rather than try to keep him in in his 40s and stay in the 1930s-1940s (what their plans are I of course have no idea).

I actually liked it A LOT more when I watched it when the boxed set came out. Ended up liking it more than Last Crusade, actually.

It's been no secret for some time now that the new storyline will, in fact, take place in the late '50s.

How 'bout a "Fountain of Youth" storyline? Would be appropriate given the age of the character...although perhaps a little TOO similar to the Grail quest of the last movie.

I can't say I'm not dreading this film...CRUSADE was such a PERFECT conclusion (with numerous lines and visuals during the movie signifying it was Indy's final adventure) that I'd hate to have yet another great franchise ruined by a subpar sequel.

Of course, who am I kidding, I'll be there for the bloody midnight show.

I have faith in this film. Lucas is just a story guy, so I trust he can come up with something Spielberg can make magical. I also feel Spielberg has grown a lot as a filmmaker, and will produce a poignant last adventure. Plus we know Ford's heart will be in this, he loves the character.

At it's worst it'll be a fun film. But hopefully they can do what Sly did with Rocky Balboa, only better.

And I will be fully dressed up in my Indy gear!! woot! The only time in my life that I will dress up for a movie opening....ever.

Screw Indy's age, I'm more nervous about David Koepp's writing abilities.

I'm hoping Spielberg/Lucas/Ford can knock another Indy movie out of the park, although it's gonna be an uphill climb to top Last Crusade (especially since Denholm Elliot has passed on).

I like the fountain of youth thing; perhaps they can use facial de-aging CG like they did for Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart in X-Men III.

Eh. I hope for the best but it won't be on my "must sees" list for '08.

Although I've thought this is a bad idea for quite sometime, I'll still be there opening day. Ford, Lucas, and Spielberg. C'mon, no matter how you cut it, that's still all kinds of awesome right there.

If I was only allowed to view one more film for the rest of my life, it would be Indy 4. May 2008 will never come fast enough...

Sir Sean Connery has confirmed he is considering returning to the silver screen to reprise one of his most popular roles in Indiana Jones 4.

The actor told UK Teletext he will read the script for the fourth movie and, if he likes what he sees, will appear once more as Indiana's father, Dr Henry Jones.

Connery said: "At the moment there's nothing decided. I haven't got the script. Everything depends on the script."

"We are writing him in whether he wants to do it or not," Lucas said on an American TV show recently.

This could be really good news.
