That's a wicked clip. Kristen is capable of very convincingly playing a totally evil, useless bitch who still makes you feel like sh*t when the poor creature she plays is finally killed. A rare talent that isn't totally connected to her angelic looks.

IMDB has a release date set for sept 28, and it will be the 'Cancer' version. Also found this Rated PG-13 for pervasive crude and sexual material, language and drug content.
that i created this thread in dec of 2006, and only now is it finally coming out.

I wouldn't hold your breath! Although it's possible it's finally coming out, this movie has had more release dates than almost any other film I've ever seen.

This will probably play on like 10 screens - considering they've already announced the dvd/blu-ray for December, I don't see a wide release happening. Still want to see it though.

Knowing the Weinsteins, I'm estimating somewhere between 48 - 85 screens.

Wonder if Kristen Bell is like cursed. Each of her movies that the Weinstiens are apart of (this and Pulse) seemed to get delayed alot. I think the first trailer for Pulse came out like 2 years before it came out.

I believe the trailer was initially released in Fall 2005 for a March 2006 theatrical release...then they pushed the film's release back and the trailer played in theaters for the next several months, but the movie was rescheduled for September...then moved up to July...the moved back to September...then the end of July..then finally to mid-August...and in between all that they re-edited parts of the film, filmed some new scenes and changed the ending...oh, and it sucked

eh, i liked it . granted it was nowhere as good as the original, but not the worst horror remake ever made. Or it could be my bias for Kristen Bell too.

This movie has a funny premise, but it looks pretty stupid. Usually movies that are delayed tend to suck, and I feel this may be one of those trailers where all the funny parts are in the trailer.

As posted already; if you have Comcast On Demand they have a whole section with the trailer and clips that are actually funny.

From what I've read, most Star Wars fans love it.

I'd love it if they got to ILM, saw Ep1 & the dying kid turned to his friends and said "Thanks a lot guys, I never knew you hated me so much".

A poster above was correct. This is only being released in a handful of theaters on February 6th.

So is this definitely the version with
Spoiler:
someone with terminal cancer?

If so, I'd rather not see it

From what little I saw on HDOD, I was already laughing. I'm in if it's released anywhere near me.

I've been wanting to see this.

I really hope it gets released.

The Weinstein Co is horrendous in release dates & patterns for their films.

Yes, it is.

The Weinsteins are releasing it in only 40 locations come 2/6, so expect a DVD soon after.

Actually sounds interesting. I'll have to check out the Comcast parts when I can.
