When did this happen? Damn, they all come in threes. Ed Bradley, Basil Polidoris, and now the man himself.
We will remember you Curly.

I have been wondering about him the last couple years, he lived a good long spectacular life. I can still remember him winning the Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 1992 for City Slickers and doing the one armed push ups, Billy Crystal then made jokes about him docking with the space shuttle and other inhuman feats during the entire broadcast.
I'm going to miss Jack.

Wow. I did not expect this at all. Especially so shortly after Poledouris. I am glad that he passed away with family. His passing is no less sad but at least he was with those that loved him most in his final moments.

I thought that he died years ago, but I think I was thinking of Lloyd Bridges instead for some reason. Either way, the news is sad but you can't really feel too bad about it since he lived a long, successful, interesting life.

In recent years, I was re-introduced to Palance due to his work in Spaghetti Westerns and he sure created a favorite bad-guy of mine in Companeros

I just re-watched Shane a few weeks ago. Jack was one of a kind.
For some reason, though, when I think about Jack Palance I remember him for his guest starrring role on Buck Rogers as Kaleel. Roddy McDowall was also in that episode, as was Buster Crabbe! Great cheesy, semi-campy fun - and Jack was SO into that part! He was great!
R.I.P. Jack - you will be missed!

What always comes to mind when I think of Palance is his appearance in the Amicus horror anthology film TORTURE GARDEN. Not the best overall Amicus anthology but the segment with him and Peter Cushing as rival collectors of Edgar Allan Poe memorabilia is a highlight. The suprise twist is golden.
